So many different ways to interpret this song title. So many new photographs I could use. So I did. Just so happens the sun has been in crazy hazy, hot, and humid abundance around here lately (doo, doo, doo, doo). Soooo, here comes the sun little darlin'...
(It's so easy finding my sun whorshipper around the house, just look for the sun spot)
(Thanks to the Better Half for calling me outside 'cause he found a photographic spider for moi, when he REALLY should have been weeding!)
Can you see a song? Can a photograph sing to you? Heck yeah X 2. Join in Sundays on a fun mash-up of photography and song titles. Each week a song title will be given as a prompt. Interpret the title however you'd like (I love artistic license). Create and edit your photograph however you'd like (again...artistic license is waaaay cool here). So what are the rules/suggestions?
1. Would be kinda cool if you would link back to my blog somewhere...ANYWHERE
2. Would be kinda cool if you "followed" me. Not to the bathroom or anything creepy...just here in blog-land.
3. Please link up using URL to your post, not your blog in general.
4. Photos MAY or MAY NOT be recently taken. Heck, sometimes you might see a song title and think "I already have an amaaaaaaazing photograph for that song title!" No reason you shouldn't use it just because it was taken awhile ago.
5. Would be kinda cool if you'd visit some of the other participants and leave a kind word or two. I'm from Philly, and you KNOW we have a rep for being the kindest and friendliest peeps in the world :)
6. You may have one or a gazillion photos in your post that you are linking up. Heck yeah, make a whole post revolving around the song title if you are so inclined....ooooor not.
7. And....mega thanks!
Oh my gosh these are awesome. So many different "Sun Shiny" moments. Loving that last shot, Taking Aim at the Sun. We've had to much sun here lately so I went the opposite direction.
ReplyDeleteI tend to go literal sometimes but I may need to step out of the box next week.
So much light and life in your photos - very refreshing! I read a little about the history of this song ... wondering if he had written in "just" about the weather, or if he intended there to be layers. It's a cool story about an afternoon in a garden hanging out with Eric Clapton. I loved it! Wish you could see me in the lobby of a hotel on a desk top in a super small southern Oregon town...couldn't make the linky thing work on my phone...and I "had" to link up! Hope your time at the shore was great!
ReplyDeleteLove the pooch in the sun! Adorable. Hope you are having a blast in Joisy!
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of sunny photos! The first really caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteBrilliantly captured Kathy - the dresses are gorgeous, but my favourite has to be your little dog. Who could resist that face?

ReplyDeleteHi, Kath.... another great week with another great song inspiration! Every time I hear that song it takes me back to college. Each spring we intrafraternity and sorority sing where we were sing a compilation of songs hoping, by singing our hearts out, we would win the coveted trophy. One year, we chose the Beatles with one song being "Here Comes the Sun". Being an alto I can still hear that one part where I dug deep into my lower range. What an experience!! If only you could hear me as I'm singing it now. OH! Better not. We'll save that for later! Anyway, thanks again for hosting this fun party. Loving the shot of your precious puppy hogging the sun.. good for you, kiddo!
ReplyDeleteGesh... some day I hope to remember rereading what I post. Missing a bunch of words and I swear I haven't taken a cocktail yet!! LOL
