Song-ography, the "Here Comes the Sun" edition...

Welcome to the "Here Comes the Sun",  (doo, doo, doo, doo) edition of Song-ography.  Preparing this a few days early 'cause I will be Jersey Shore-ing it this weekend..fist pump!  Hoping both the sun is shining AND the hotel I'm staying at has Internet, like they claim they do, so this link-up posts on time.  If that happens, then I say it's alright (doo, doo, doo, doo).

So many different ways to interpret this song title.  So many new photographs I could use. So I did. Just so happens the sun has been in crazy hazy, hot, and humid abundance around here lately (doo, doo, doo, doo).  Soooo, here comes the sun little darlin'...

"Sun Dresses"

"Sun Flowers"

"Sun Bathing"

(It's so easy finding my sun whorshipper around the house, just look for the sun spot)

"Walking on Sunshine"

(Thanks to the Better Half for calling me outside 'cause he found a photographic spider for moi, when he REALLY should have been weeding!)

"Morning Sun"

"Taking Aim at the Sun"

Can't wait to see how everyone interpreted George Harrison's "Here Comes the Sun".  But before linking up, take a look at next week's song title. After the easy-peasy one this week, I'm going to challenge you a bit.  I think you can handle it...

"Lean on Me"
Bill Withers

Just a reminder, you can interpret the song titles ANY way you'd like.  I post the video to the song just so you can hear it, doesn't mean you have to interpret it literally.  Take creative license.  Also, if you have a suggestion for a song title you'd like to see here on Song-ography...send me an email or post it in the comments.

  1. Oh my gosh these are awesome. So many different "Sun Shiny" moments. Loving that last shot, Taking Aim at the Sun. We've had to much sun here lately so I went the opposite direction.
I tend to go literal sometimes but I may need to step out of the box next week.

  2. So much light and life in your photos - very refreshing! I read a little about the history of this song ... wondering if he had written in "just" about the weather, or if he intended there to be layers. It's a cool story about an afternoon in a garden hanging out with Eric Clapton. I loved it! Wish you could see me in the lobby of a hotel on a desk top in a super small southern Oregon town...couldn't make the linky thing work on my phone...and I "had" to link up! Hope your time at the shore was great!

  24. Hi, Kath.... another great week with another great song inspiration! Every time I hear that song it takes me back to college. Each spring we intrafraternity and sorority sing where we were sing a compilation of songs hoping, by singing our hearts out, we would win the coveted trophy. One year, we chose the Beatles with one song being "Here Comes the Sun". Being an alto I can still hear that one part where I dug deep into my lower range. What an experience!! If only you could hear me as I'm singing it now. OH! Better not. We'll save that for later! Anyway, thanks again for hosting this fun party. Loving the shot of your precious puppy hogging the sun.. good for you, kiddo!
