Let it be...

"Let It Be"
Citizen's Bank Park, Philadelphia, PA
IPhone

1.  Personally, I don't think I'd ever get a tattoo.  When it comes to my skin, I think I should just let it be. Except for my drawer full of make-up, moisturizers, cleansers, elixirs, magical potions, and cacophony of mystical age defying solutions.

2.  Yet again, I got reprimanded by Thing #3 for taking a photo of this girl, and her tattoo, sitting in front of us at the baseball game.  Thing #3 should realize by now that yes indeed, I AM a stalker, just like she claims.  So when it comes to moi and James Dean, just let it be.  Geesh!

3.  I got a text from Thing #2 during the game, who was sitting in a different section, telling me "The guys in front of us are REALLY frank!".  What's wrong with that?  Just let it be!  EXCEPT, I later learned her phone auto-corrected the word "drunk".

4.  WHY do people wait til the stadium is at it's loudest to start a conversation?  Seriously, how many times can I get away with saying "What??!!??" before I segue' from "she must not be able to hear me" into "she must be a moron"?  Seriously dude,  NOT a good time so let it be.

5.  I know, I know...LOTS of noise in this photo.  Should I explain that it was taken with my IPhone in bad lighting while Thing #3 was grabbing at my arm to get me to stop?  Or should I just call it an "artistic license" and let it be?

P.S.  Just a reminder, if you want to see where I am linking up these days, check out "Party On" below my blog header.  Want to give a shout out to all those places I like to visit!

...and, please join me on Sundays for my new link up "Song-ography".
This week's song title is George Harrison's "Here Comes the Sun"

  2. It's not a bad photo so I see nothing wrong with you having snapped a photo of the tat on the girls' back. My take on photos of others is that if they are going to put something out in the public eye then it's free for anyone to photograph. She's probably very proud of her tat! xox

  3. I take pictures of random people too...don't we all? And, I would never get a tat either. I can't even decide what my favorite color is let alone decide on something I want to put on my skin permanently. As for no # 5.....just let it be.

  4. If you ever get on Flickr there is a group called 100 Strangers...the idea is that you have to take a picture of 100 people you don't know, often even talking tot hem before you take the shot...not sure I could do that but this stalkerish kind of secret picture taking is probably more my style too :-)

  6. Isn't stalking so much fun!!! So much easier when the person has their back turned to you. My kids are often totally embarassed by my camera stalking, but,.... oh well. Makes it harder though when they are grabbing at you. LOL. Still "missing you" in Italy Kathy! Have you thought of lottery tickets??? A BIG garage sale.... How about asking for donations on your blog. ???????

    1. Hmmmm....a donate button for "photographer mom who wants to go to Italy, but has two kids getting married...still trying to rationalize"????? I LIKE it :)

  7. I do not refer to myself as a stalker....a seeker of the unusual sounds better, don't you agree!! Tats and I will never meet.

    1. YOU don't need to refer to yourself that way...I'll let my Thing #3 visit you for awhile :)

  8. My husband is starting to get used to his wife pulling out her camera or iPhone to take photos of random things. Once you get started, once you start seeing things in a new way, it's uncontrollable, isn't it? I like Deanna's "seeker of the unusual." :-)

Loved your "let it be" theme, and laughed out loud at the "frank"/"drunk" confusion.

  9. oh, I am one of those silly ones who made the mistake of getting a tattoo at a very young age. I've been getting it lasered off FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS!!!!!! Huge Mistake!

  10. Right there with ya sister on the tattoos - nope, nada, nosirreebob!
As for "stalking" - get over it is all I can say. It got an apology out of an idiot this week when I took a shot of his car after he rolled back into my car in the drive thru!
Frankly - those guys were drunk in front of Thing #2!
    Happy Friday!

  11. I don't have a tatoo and won't have one, but this one is nice. Sure glad you stalked! Auto correct has a mind of its own.. Lots going on at the baseball game!

  12. That is a very cool tattoo! Love it. I have two tattoos right now, and have appts. for two more. Lol. I try to get them in areas that are easy to hid them though, for the moments you don't need your tattoo showing.

That autocorrect made me actually lol.

  16. Great photo though! Glad you took it in spite of Thing #3's objections!

  17. I have fleeting moments of wanting a teeny tiny tat, but I don't think I can do it. I always feel like it would be something I would wish I hadn't done. Besides, I'm one of the only moms at the pool without a one. So maybe I'm original now.

    I say stalk on!

  18. Seems like just about Everyone has a tattoo these days...not me. I get sick of things to easy... Always very interesting to see what people choose to put on their bodies! Your kids crack me up! Have a great weekend!

  19. I see so many teens and 20s with tattoos all over, even on necks and faces or giant tattoos on arms, legs, backs, and I am so thankful I never did that. I suppose I'm totally unhip since it seems to be the rage (and I'm sounding more like my mother as i type this, lol) but I just don't get it. It's sooooo permanent and soooo unattractive.

And yes, I'd claim artistic license and let it be ;)

    Fun post!

  20. I fully expect to get shot at one of these days for my photo 'stalking'. Really, I am not THAT bad but pretty near.

  21. One has to find something exciting to do at a baseball game, it might as well be stalking! LOL (Sorry, not a fan of baseball).

  22. I am not at tatoo person, but I kind of like this one~

  23. I've always been a "better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission" kinda person, so the candid shot is totally okay in my book.

Thank you for sharing at R5F this week Kathy. xo
