"I step out of the ordinary,
I can feel my soul ascending."

Sometimes, you just can't help but give yourself a little smile when you step out of your ordinary. Kinda makes you feel good when you have an answer to the question "What have you done today to make you feel proud?". You don't have to explain what you did to anyone else. Because you know. And that's what is important.

I'm on the Passenger bandwagon, and I'm taking you along for the ride again this week. I find their lyrics pretty powerful. Hope ya like it...
Passenger
FYI, I'm going to do one more Song-ography after next week, and then take a bit of a hiatus as I hunker down for Thing #2's wedding. I've been finding it harder to keep up with blogging the past few weeks, and hate doing it half-hearted. So a break will be a good thang. But until then, thanks for joining in at Song-ography. Take some time to visit the other participants and leave some comments. It's always nice to know when your work and creativity are noticed!
I'm amazed you've kept up as much as you have with the upcoming wedding. Enjoy the event!
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well with the wedding prep Kathy x
ReplyDeleteOooooh I like this one, so soft and glowing! :) And I agree, knowing for yourself is what's important, even if the whole world doesn't know!
ReplyDeleteThat is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHope the break is a good one (you'll be missed) but please say you'll be back after!
Ahhh yes... sometimes just knowing is definitely enough.

Beautiful shot Kathy! Hope you are having a wonderful summer!
ReplyDeleteso pretty kathy, a really beautiful image!! happy to be here today!! i have a love/hate relationship with weddings!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe now that's summer is here and my schedule is more relaxes, I can link up more often!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week my friend.
Pretty selfie, monochrome, highkey - what's not to love?! I would have loved to link up today, but with the commenting issue I am having at my blog I decided to help hubby on his instead ;) I hope I can make it next week, since I'll be in Germany for a couple of weeks... Otherwise we'll meet again after your and my hiatus. Blogging should be fun and if you don't feel like it, don't do it. Your daughter's wedding is definitely way, way, way more important!
ReplyDeletep.s. try to leave your camera (incl. your phone!) at home during that special day and just enjoy :)
I think of all the songs you have picked, this one has been a favorite and could not have come at a better time. You are so right in that what makes us proud doesn't have to be explained to anyone. See you next Sunday and then wish you a joyful time away for what really counts. BTW - great little selfie there. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it and you have so much to be proud of! I hear you on struggling to blog right now. Take that break you need, but please not for too long. There would be a big hole in bloggy land without you!
ReplyDeleteThese next weeks will hold so much joy and so very much to feel proud about! I bet you have that smile on your face and a twinkle in your eye a lot! Will be here next week for sure - then enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun, fun, fun time for you and your family! We are still basking in the glow of my daughter's wedding in March--highlights of my life! Forever warm memories. Enjoy every minute! And you will certainly be proud of your Thing(s)!!!
