We are not amused...

"We Are Not Amused"
Ambler, Pennsylvania

"Dorothy: Your Majesty, if you were king, you wouldn't be afraid of anything?
Cowardly Lion: Not nobody! Not nohow!
Tin Woodsman: Not even a rhinoceros?
Cowardly Lion: Imposerous!
Dorothy: How about a hippopotamus?
Cowardly Lion: Why, I'd thrash him from top to bottomus!
Dorothy: Supposing you met an elephant?
Cowardly Lion: I'd wrap him up in cellophane!
Scarecrow: What if it were a brontosaurus?
Cowardly Lion: I'd show him who was king of the forest!"

But what about a stupid groundhog who tells us we have more snow to come?
"Well bust my buttons!  Why didn't you say that in the first place?  That's a horse of a different color!"

Here's where I'm linking up today ..."The Party's On"

Please join me on Sundays for Song-ography.
This week's song title is the Alternate Route's "Nothing More".

  3. Well, your not alone, however it is only 48 degrees here near the gulf coast, muggy, foggy and humid…not my idea of Spring! Darn that ground hog!
Great post, so fitting for a lion with a cap of snow on his head :)

  12. The snow covering the lion's eyes - I mean really! So good! Couldn't help but think of the ostrich with its head in the sand!

  15. It's early in the morning over here so I need to say a thank you for starting off my day with a giggle at this photo and your matching caption - that's very funny. Due to life, my opportunities for visiting places like this blog had come to a grounding halt, but I'm so pleased I had a chance this morning as your words about perspective in your previous post was exactly what I needed to read, so again another thank you. Love LOVE your photo of the tree at autumn time. Renee

  16. Absolutely perfect and I suspect earnest. We have only received a minor portion of winter, whereas you have endured the lion's share. I'm guessing "amused" left the building months ago.

  17. This photo is hilarious. I think just about everyone I know would echo that sentiment, and would probably look just about that disgusted, too. :-)

  19. You know what's great about this winter....your sense of humor is out in full force. Hey if you can't escape winter you may as well make fun of it. Loved this photo and the lines from the Wizard of Oz.
