Song-ography, the "Forever Autumn" edition...

"The summer sun is fading as the year grows old,
and darker days are drawing near.
The winter winds will be much colder,
now you're not here...

"Fading Summer Sun"

I watch the birds fly south across the autumn sky,
and one by one they disappear.
I wish that I was flying with them,
now you're not here...

"Fly Across the Autumn Sky"

Like the sun through the trees you came to love me,
like a leaf on a breeze you blew away...

"Autumn Love"

Through autumn's golden gown we use to kick our way.
You always loved this time of year.
Those fallen leaves lie undisturbed now,
cause you're not here...

"Autumn's Golden Glow"

Like the sun through the trees you came to love me,
like a leaf on the breeze you blew away...

"Leaf on a breeze"

A gentle rain falls softly on my weary eyes.
As if to hide a lonely tear.
My life will be forever autumn,
cause you're not here."

-Moody Blues (Justin Hayward)

"Cause You're Not Here"

Have to say, I DO love my change of seasons.  Not only for the new wardrobe, but also for the new photographic possibilities.  Of course, taking advantage of the new photographic possibilities in new boots is pretty cool too.  Gotta love Autumn!

Next week's Song-ography song "look out any window, look out any open door...see what's going on around you"...

Can't wait to see how everyone interpreted "Forever Autumn",  and thanks for linking up!

  6. This song made me so sad - and autumn makes me so happy - It was confusing! I love your images...and especially the empty seat in that last shot. You capture the sense of aching beauty with your photos that I felt in the song so beautifully.

  7. You nailed this one. So many fabulous photos here. The one with the geese blew me away. I had to touch mine up a little as it was a boring photo before adding the texture.
I also loved the one of the couple walking through the fall leaves. Just beautiful.

  20. P.S. Since I came over by way of Sundays in My City, I thought I'd offer a friendly note that I didn't see a link back to SIMC in your post. Since you are also a meme host, I figured you'd appreciate my bringing it to your attention. (I hope so, anyway :) Feel free to delete this comment, of course.
