...Kentucky style. En route from Cincinnati to Lexington, I made an executive decision to bypass the highways and head for the byways. Off the beaten path. Rolling fields, tobacco barns, old farms, and a horse (of course). Sometimes getting lost results in uncovering bits of beauty you otherwise wouldn't have recognized. And maybe a bit of a heated exchange with the GPS too. But it's all worth it in the end...as long as you ultimately wind up where you should be.

ReplyDeleteSo much to love here, Kathy! So much charm and southern style! Love the tobacco hanging and I can almost smell it. Love that sky with purple hues. Had to laugh at the exchange with the GPS...can totally relate. Had that last week when my location wasn't listed and streets had no signage. Thank you for sharing all these wonderful images today!

ReplyDeleteOh my - these are wonderful! I'm hoping for some detours of my own this weekend - I'm so rarely (read never) alone on a road trip...looking forward to stopping whenever I want! The tobacco shots are so interesting - something I've never seen. And the open land and big skies...just love it!
