After this last week and all that has transpired in Boston...I have faith that we are all family.
2. Happiness
"Cherry Blossoms in Black and White"
Fairmount Park, Philadelphia
More to come later this week from "Sakura Sunday" in Philadelphia.
4. Fuzzy
"Parasol Pow-Wow"
Fairmount Park, Philadelphia
Girlfriends gathering in style, need I say more? Yeah...can I join in?
Whew. What a week it's been. I have a few friends and family up in Boston that I've been keeping in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so glad it's all ended in a "Sweet Caroline" kinda way. God bless ya Boston...and God Bless the U.S.A. So proud. Yes, so proud.

Oh how I am craving a good tomato! That photo is going to make me go out and search for a decent one this week.
ReplyDeleteFantastic set!!
ReplyDeleteThe colors in your happiness shot are beautiful. The cherry blossoms are gorgeous in black and white and the sunflower is gorgeous also. Love the umbrellas!
I like the perspective of that first shot and the black and white of the cherry blossoms is stupendous!
ReplyDeleteMy blessing wants a parasol like the ones you photographed.
Loving these - the black and white is my favorite (I have a soft spot for black and white...) - and these blossoms are perfect for black and white! Also - since sunflowers are my favorites...I have noticed how fuzzy they are! I love that about them! Thanks for the encouragement - here's to a saner week!
ReplyDeleteLove the perspective of the family shot, the spot focus on the yummy vegetables (are vegetables and ice cream a balanced diet) :), and that wonderful macro of the sunflower.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful set this week!
as usual, your photos are stunning. I love the fuzzy sunflower shot! And especially the angle of the flag against that amazingly crystal blue sky.
ReplyDeleteYou have an eye for photography ! You have considered, well defined images ! I is very hard to say which photo I like most because they are all good and a very good collection. But personally your happiness is so cool, Faith is something to make one think values in these days and it is from an interesting field of view ! Gathering is so beautiful and it is so what it is as you are young and have friends. Really lovely photos !!!

Love your creative pov on these. That salad shot is inspired!
ReplyDeleteReally liked your black and white photo of spring. Stopping by from the Scavenger Hunt. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteWell done! love them all!
ReplyDeleteThe flag got me. What a week.
ReplyDeleteParasol pow-wow...I love it! Love the flag shot also.
ReplyDeleteIt really is crazy what's going on up there in Boston and what happened. So sad. It makes me happy my daughter is still so innocent as to what goes on in the world. Her world is still Mommy, Daddy and her stuffed animals.
ReplyDeleteAnyway- Colorful vegetables makes me happy too! When I get fresh picked ones in the summertime, I put them on the counter, freshly washed, and look at them - b/c they are so pretty! I sometimes tell them to smile so I can take their photo :)
I'm so glad it's over. I watched the celebrations on my tv here in UK and everyone was so happy. I'm sorry for the injured and those who lost their lives it's so tragic.
ReplyDeleteYou have of course another wonderful set of photos- just beautiful. Your spring and happiness are my favourites. Although I feel the need to invest in a colourful, pretty parasol!
I agree with your veggie happiness, looks yummy, great perspective. Like others have said the flag and the perspective of your shot is wonderful. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteLinking up from Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
That flag - love!
ReplyDeleteSo true - yesterday I just went out and lived - no tv, no twitter. The whole city was breathing again and those Sox they know how to win it for the Hub!
Words to live by. We are all family. Beautiful b/w spring shot. Looking forward to the rest of them
ReplyDeleteWell done once again my friend! It was pretty much the same around here, but yesterday I settled back into my normal routine & the t.v. wasn't on until last night to watch a movie!! A mindless, no point to it, silly love story kinda movie!
ReplyDeleteAt least you had the where-with-all to collect some pictures that actually represent the prompts for this week's hunt. I kept turning the ignition key but my motor just wouldn't turn over to get it done.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on each of these.
Beautiful set of images - that sunflower is pure gorgeousness!
ReplyDeleteGreat, lively, colorful (you know what I mean) images.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots Kathy! I know with all that has been going on, blogging can seem trivial, but then, it is so heartening to see that people go on CHOOSING BEAUTY and ART instead of destruction. A choice.... a great choice
ReplyDeleteLovely shots all!!
ReplyDeletegorgeous flower shot!!
ReplyDeleteI'm very much a fan of your gorgeous sunflower shot.
ReplyDeleteIt was kind of a crazy week. I am proud that I did not spend hours glued to the set. I saw a couple highlights on the gym TV and left it at that. I love the POV on the faith shot. That's brilliant and I really like the fuzzy shot too. Cool way to get the fresh veggies in, right before ice cream.
ReplyDeleteAwesome set from start to finish.
ReplyDeleteTerrific angle shot of the flag & such wonderful words of support and love for our country.
Wow that BW shot of the cherry blossoms is divine.
Also enjoyed the fuzzy sunflower and the gathering shot is so fun.
It was a difficult week with what happened in Boston. Makes you take time to reflect and keep your love ones close. You photos are fabulous. Love the sunflower one because I adore sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Sunday,

ReplyDeleteSUnflowers are just the best summertime flowers/crops. It's always a nice surprise to come upon a sunflower field and be able to snap a few photos. They are just so happy looking!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, Kathy, you are right, it has been THAT kind of week. I must say, you rallied very well and brought some great photo's. I love the cherry blossoms in B&W. They make me feel happy and hopeful.

Wow! Love them all! And yes, I love big bowls of veggies. Like one of your readers just said, now I'm craving tomatoes, too.
ReplyDeleteI really love them all!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait until tomatoes are in season here in Los Angeles. I could eat them all day long. YUM!

ReplyDeleteThat fuzzy shot is fabulous!!!!! And Cherry blossoms even in black and white look beautiful!
