Welcome to the "Jersey Shore" edition of Scavenger Hunt Sunday. No Snookies, J-Wow's, Pauly D's, or "The Situations" were harmed in the process (altho, I easily could understand the need to do so). Yes, the Jersey Shore has a definite persona, character and 'tude to it. It's unique. It's not for everyone. But then again, neither are Taylor Pork Roll sandwiches. Which is a good thing...leaves more for MOI. Fist pump for the Taylor Pork Roll :).
This week's prompts are: Fast, Shine, Left, Peace, and Plain.
1. Fast
"Which Way to the Beach?"
I was in Wildwood for the Memorial Day weekend. Truth be told, I'm not much of a "Wildwood" gal anymore. Haven't been since college. I'm more of a Avalon or Stone Harbor lover these days. But that wasn't where the Kite Festival was...and I wanted to go fly a kite. So Wildwood here I am. What is fun about Wildwood is the huge Boardwalk and amusement parks. Someone should tell that gull he needs to buy tickets and stand in line for the coaster.
2. Shine
"Yo Dude, Scrapple and Yuengling....breakfast of champions...tru dat' ".
3. Left
"Big Daddy"
Ladies and Gentlemen..."Big Daddy" has left the building. Thank you, thank you very much.
4. Peace
"Cool Change"
"I was born on the sign of water,
and it's here that I feel my best.
The albatross and the whales they are my brothers.
And it's kind of a special feeling,
when you're out on the sea alone.
Staring at the full moon like a love."
-Little River Band (Cool Change)
5. Plain
I wonder who J.B. is?
If you get the chance, hop on over to Ashley's "Scavenger Hunt Sunday" at Ramblings and Photos to see all the great submissions, and...to see who else can't believe it's JUNE!!!!!! Enjoy your day...

Love your shots. The sailboat is very peaceful. But my favorite has got to be the one with the lovely reflection
ReplyDeleteAwwww....I love your last shot. Although I think you left off a letter. Shouldn't it be KB & JBJ (Jon Bon Jovi) since you're a Jersey Girl?! Your first photo captures the essence of the Jersey Shore. I never thought I'd say a seagull looks pretty!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing! I can't even pick a favorite. Looks like you had a getaway!
ReplyDeleteI for sure thought it would be JD for Mr. Dean. love them all, Big Daddy made me laugh.

ReplyDeleteI love each one of these! You display the amazing beauty of my home-area!! I was never too much of a Wildwood gal, either, except from the two trips a summer we took to the water parks! Ah, now I want to hop on a bus and go to the beach!
ReplyDeleteReally loved your first two clever captures.......and the fact that you mentioned the Australian band - Little River Band , I've always liked listening to that great song.

ReplyDeleteHello Kathy, I hope it's not raining where you live. Our weekend has been washed away here in Maine. I love the "fast" photo of the seagull and roller coaster. And those beach reflections are superb. Enjoy the day!
ReplyDeleteI also have great memories of the Jersey Shore and still love it there. Our South Jersey, not the Snookie North Jersey beaches. Shine was my fav this week!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. Peace is fantastic and shine is such a great idea and is a great picture. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots as usual. My favorite was Shine. I have such a strong connection to the shore, Avalon in particular.
ReplyDeleteYou need to enter that gull shot in a photo context. That is an amazing shot. At leat print and hang it for yourself. Sad to admit I totally understand all yo' jersy shore references. Fist pump for me. Snooks. God. What a mess that show is, but like a train wreck I have to watch. Happy weekend. You totally aced this SHS.
ReplyDeleteI am proud to say that "Jersey Shore" is probably the ONE reality show I do NOT watch! haha. I'm much more highbrow like "The Bachelor" :)
DeleteA lovely collection :) have a nice sunday !
ReplyDeleteOh, love your plain and your shine with sunspots too. Looks like you had a nice time in Jersey.
ReplyDeleteYou hit it on the nail, lovely shots. They are all great. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

ReplyDeleteAs always, I love your pictures, but I love your writing as much if not more, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteSusan

DeleteWonderful compositions....out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary.
ReplyDeleteget set, very close to my heart!! (i much prefer stone harbor or cape may to wildwood, it's just not the same anymore!!)
ReplyDeletestone harbor has a huge craft festival the first weekend of august, every year. it's well worth the ride!!
Beautiful photos! You make me want to be at the beach right about now!!
ReplyDeleteNicely done...I love the reflections on the beach.
ReplyDeleteThe beach is calling me! Your pictures help amplify the call.
ReplyDeleteShine is such a precious picture.
Great set this week! Especially love the Peace :)
ReplyDelete'Fast' is so fabulous I can't even find words....love it! And, 'left' actually made me guffaw out loud (GOL? ;D)...I paused for quite a while and was trying to figure out how that represented 'left'... and then I scrolled down. GOF!
ReplyDelete"GOL".....haha....love it!
DeleteGorgeous photos and lots of laughs - I get both of these every time I visit your blog. What a great combo! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat set, love your shine!! Was out til 2am on Saturday, or I guess that would be Sunday, in Galveston on the Strand and probably could very well have done a theme on that alone, but it woulddn't have been family friendly....I may never be the same again, lol! To say the least I have missed SHS and I'm still recovering....
ReplyDeleteWhat a warm welcome..."Jersey Shore" edition--thanks, for the laugh:) All of your photos are beautiful! Shine is my favorite. Love the reflection!
