reminds me of all the places I've been.
Visions of good times that brought so much pleasure
makes me want to go back again...

-Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude (Jimmy Buffett)
Seriously, how cool is this wall of vintage suitcases? Seriously, how cool is it that this wall of vintage suitcases is just a small part of the decor of the "Hattery Stove & Sill" restaurant in Doylestown, Pennsylvania? Charm overload alert! And not just because of the interior design. But seriously, how cool is it that part of the charm was spending it with my cousins and our moms? #WeDontDoThisEnough. I might not have had to pack up my suitcase for a change of latitude...but I certainly left with a definite change of attitude nonetheless. I saw more, heard more, and laughed harder than I can recall. Definitely good times and riches. Never underestimate binds of a shared history....or the laughs they can produce. Thanks girls!

Thanks to all who link up here on Tuesdays for Song-ography. Remember the only rules are:
Song/Lyric + Photography = Song-ography
It's just that easy. You are only limited by your creativity and imagination. So if you are on the fence about giving it a shot...try it, you'll like it! I will be around to visit those who link up, and I urge everyone to try and visit as many of your fellow Song-ographers as time allows. Thanks!
Hah, I was about to ask where you found those suitcases all displayed like that. That is wonderful. I remember those old things. They were horrible and heavy.
ReplyDeleteAnd NO WHEELS! How DID we manage? :)
DeleteVintage suitcases are truly amazing! I also think they're more sturdy (though more heavy) than the one we have nowadays.
ReplyDeleteLove that image. We don't get to Doylestown as much as we should. That is where we moved from...more or less. I should go back more often. It's just not on a bucket list so I forget...
ReplyDeleteI know Becky...I don't get there enough. And everytime I DO get there I always ask myself "WHY don't I come here more often?" This was at the Hattery Restaurant which is with the Doylestown Inn on Main Street. They completely redid the restaurant and the decor is soooooooo fun and interesting. You should pop in and take a look!
DeleteThat is a great capture. Never get to see these anymore here.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and song tie-in!
ReplyDeleteThe photo with the suitcases is terrific!

ReplyDeleteTOUCHE'!
DeleteI love that song!! Now I need to see if I can ever use any others of his!
ReplyDeleteThat wall is wicked cool. Thanks for hosting.
That is a really cool wall. Someone is very creative, for sure. My old baby blue American Tourister style hard case is the only suitcase I ever use. It's very easy to find on the carousel at the airport among all those black canvas bags. When they were selling this one it was advertised that a gorilla could stand on it and throw it around. I think they were right.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
TOTALLY remember those commercials!
DeleteSuitcases of yesteryear have so much character, and to have a wall of them - super cool! Love when getting together equates mountains of memories, reminiscing, and laughter.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot and then to think that they contained the most precious belongings a traveler would take with him.
ReplyDeleteIt is a neat scene, a wall of vintage suitcases. I love to travel and seeing a suitcase makes me wish I was going on a trip! Enjoy your day and the week ahead!
ReplyDeleteLove vintage suitcases!!!
ReplyDeleteI spent an unplanned evening with cousins last month after a long time (we live in different cities) and it was like we had never been apart.
We are the same way, lots of time apart...but then it's like no time at all when we get together.
DeleteWow, I absolutely love your suitcase captures - I would love to visit this place! Thank you for your prompt - it's been so long since I've posted on my blog. You gave me a much needed nudge.
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!! You're back! Been following on Instagram, but had wondered about your blog.
DeleteWow! ONE vintage suitcase sets me to dreaming! This is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, the stories these suitcases could tell....and the places they've seen!
DeleteThat's great wall decor.
ReplyDeleteAnd you've got a fab. picture there.
My daughter had a travel themed wedding since her and her new husband both love to travel. We collected lots of vintage suitcases to use in the decor. Now that wall, wow!
