"If you're lost you can look,
and you will find me time after time.
If you fall I will catch you,
I will be waiting...
...time after time,
"Thing #1 Graduation"
June 2003
Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania
...time after time,
"Thing #2 Graduation"
June 2005
Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania
...time after time."

Same cast of characters. Same configuration. Different years. Yep, time after time. I will be waiting, camera in hand. The never-ending photo project. Twelve years to complete. I blame it entirely on the Better Half for that huge gap between Things #1 and #2 until Thing #3. Indecision, indecision, indecision. But it was totally worth the wait. Both for Thing #3 AND to complete this photo collection.
What a joy and honor to be madre' to my Things. Yes I have been there to catch the falls. Truth is, they soar far more often than tumble. Time after time after time. Falls or triumphs, they know how to find me. They don't have to look far. In Thing #3's opinion...it needs to be further! Sorry, ain't happening. She'd have to take a page from Thing #2's book and move to OHIO for that! But I'd find here there too, armed with GPS and a belligerent SIRI who refuses to understand me (hmmmm, kinda sounds like my teen! )
But the best thing about these Things? Even tho I'm there, they really don't need me to be anymore...because they are there for each other. To catch. To support. To cheer. Same cast of characters. Same sibling configuration of oldest, middle, youngest. Despite the day. Despite the month. Despite the year. They've shown it time after time, after time, after time.

So glad you are here for another edition of Song-ography where...
Song/Lyric + Photograph(s) = Song-ography
Just a reminder that links from blogs, Instagram, Flickr are all welcome as long as the post meshes with the purpose of Song-ography. All those that don't will be deleted. I was glad to see that our participants increased a bit last week, hoping that the trend will keep on going in the right direction! Can't wait to see what you've all been up to. I will be popping by to see every one's links. And I hope you all take a bit of time to visit a few of your fellow Song-ographers.
Thanks again!
(Song-ography on Tuesdays. Click on photo for a full description.)

ReplyDeleteKudo's to the things for graduating and looking so cool while doing so.
ReplyDeleteOh your 'things' are very accomplished, loving and kind to each other. {i can tell}. Thanks for your fun comment to me, Kathy! Sometimes it is just nice to hear those "comrade in arms" comments to keep on blogging and blogging and blogging, time after time. {no worries, I still here}

Your raised three neat 'things'. I agree with edenhills - very sweet post.
ReplyDeletep.s. sorry, I didn't make it this time with a song :(
ReplyDeleteDoesn't the time fly by altogether to swiftly? Yet, there's something satisfying about watching them grow up into wonderful adults!
ReplyDeleteAmazing story and you have not changed in any of the photo's as for the little girl you can see who she takes after.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to keep recreating this picture! Major congratulations!
ReplyDeleteNice set of images! Our gap is 10 years but it wasn't indecision just one huge surprise that I wouldn't give up for the world.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great triptych! Took some patience in the making, for sure, but well worth it. Super idea!
ReplyDeleteYou have a very beautiful family. You must be so proud. Excellent song.
ReplyDeleteoh, this one choked me up.... LOVE this! The b/w collage is great! I feel like I could write a book about each shot - so much love and personality shining through "just" a typical graduation photo! I think my favorite bit is who's wearing the cap in the first shot! {you're thing two and my thing one...same year!}
ReplyDeleteAwww..I love how your recreated the photo!! This is so special!
ReplyDeleteThis is just awesome! Congratulations to you and your fine "Things"!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness this is adorable! I just love the last one. Always the little sister even when grown.
ReplyDeleteThis is great. totally wall worthy :-D
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! One of my favorite songs, perfect for your loving photos!
ReplyDeleteI have a love/hate relationship with SIRI. I've been spotted at stop lights arguing with what appears to be no one, but alas, it's SIRI not listening to me again.
ReplyDeleteHey! My kids are all gone, got have someone to argue......um debate with!
I love that you got them to continue to pose in the same way over the years. What a wonderful series of images
