P.S. Not my normal editing choice, but sometimes a photo just calls for selective color. Why? I chose to use this technique because I felt it helped give a sense of perspective and scale that was missing when the photo was edited entirely in black and white. Plus...it was pink :).

Selective color was perfect for this!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tamar, absolutely perfect. Man, what a gorgeous building!!! It's because of your late posts I now have an itch to travel.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, bald men are sexy.......I have one of my own. And yes, the selective color was a perfect choice, I agree. I am very agreeable today.
ReplyDeleteIt is perfect in every way!!!!!! (BIG pink puffy heart)
ReplyDeleteI like the shot of color! And I have to agree that frozen yogurt tastes better than ice cream.
ReplyDeleteI agree, selective color has its moments. Like in you picture :)
ReplyDeleteI just love your selection of pink for this! Your work never fails to amazing me Kathy! You definitely have "the eye" and the talent to go with it!
ReplyDeleteSuch kind words...thanks Jeanne :)
DeleteGlad to see you finally see how this whole cat/dog discourse ends up. [wink wink] In a day where 'selective color' is the equivalent of a photographic slap in the face - you do it good. Hell, you take the currency of 'in-vogue' and show it who's da boss. Beautifully done. Honestly do people line up to be in your street photography cause you capture the most amazing moments.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicki...I really do like street photography and finding "scenes" that people just pass by. BUT...this is exactly why I'm always so far behind everyone else I travel with, my eye always seems to find something it finds interesting. I really liked this little bit of pink because it kind of puts the whole shot into scale and perspective. So immense and intricate! And no...no one lines up for me...actually, I'm always scared people will SEE me taking their photo! haha.
DeleteThat is an amazing photo - and I love the splash of pink!
ReplyDeletePopping over from OneDad3Girls.
I love this photo! Such a creative approach. The girl in pink is so small compared to the majestic cathedral and the Christmas tree, that it takes some time to spot her, but then I couldn't take my eyes off her. I also like it that she is off-centre. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteStunning building, black and white does it proud
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful shot! Love the impressive building, and the pink coat! :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter would agree completely!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday.
