What's mine is mine, and...

...what's yours is mine.

"Don't Hang Around 'Cause Two's a Crowd, On My Cloud"
Tucson, Arizona

I can relate. Sharing is not my forte' either.  Everything I've learned that I DON'T like, I learned in kindergarten. Back away from my Lincoln Logs.  I'd rather give than receive.  And, I'd rather give...than share.  This includes my popcorn at a movie, my pillow, my blanket, my pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream I keep hidden in the freezer, and anything I drink out of a straw.  I don't like sharing dessert either.  What I prefer is the Better Half sharing HIS dessert with ME.

Here's where I "link up" today.

Please join me on Sundays for Song-ography.
This week's song title is the Beatle's "All You Need Is Love".

  1. Pretty funny, and you know, I am the same way. Love these hummingbirds. They are so territorial for the size that they are. Sometimes, just plain MEAN!

  2. What a great shot! Sharing is caring (-:
My mom jokes the 1st commandment of toddler-hood is "if it's yours, it's mine." followed by "if you ever thought about it, touched it, or might in the future, it's mine"

    Happy hump day!

  5. Great humming bird shot. I have never heard any one change the kindergarten quote around in that way, lol.

  6. haha I am an only child - I don't like sharing anything, not even my towel- My husband laughs at my unsharing ways LOL. I now have to teach my daughter to share with her younger brother. Unchartered territory for me :) Beautiful picture by the way! Hummingbirds are amazing creatures.

  9. Through those mighty halls of Kindergarten do we garner vast, powerful, and life-changing lessons. My husband apparently learned this particular one hard and good because he does NOT share. Nothing. with No One. under any circumstances. Period.

  11. Well....I'm glad you'll share you photos! Just how long did you silently sit shooting these beauties?

  12. I could sit and watch hummingbirds for...well, let's just say, a really long time! This is a wonderful shot!! The black and white really accentuates the beaks (?) and, therefore, the "confrontation"!!

  13. Wow, great shot! I recently saw a documentary that included hummingbirds and it show them biting each other to scare the other one away from it's flower. Possessive little critters.

  14. At first I thought you found hummingbirds around here somewhere was was in disbelief!

  15. Yes, giving is good, and yes, sharing is good, but I agree there are just some things I don't want to give away or share!! Grand shot of the hummers!!

  16. We all have a bit of the territorial in us, I agree. I never realized how true that is for hummingbirds until I had a feeder. They tirelessly protect what they feel is their property all summer long. :) Your words made me smile, especially the last bit. I enjoy sharing what is the hubby's also vs sharing mine with him. hahaha

  19. Love the way one bird appears to be looking at the other as if to say, what do YOU think you are doing here. Great shot
