"Fly Away"
It's been a whirlwind week. Part of my daily routine had to fall by the wayside. That included my blog. Thing #2 flew into Philly for her spring break from high school teaching, to accomplish some wedding "stuff". It was a week of wedding power planning. Admittedly, not the most relaxed way to plan a wedding. But it's our reality unfortunately. Wedding Shower, invitations addressed and mailed, a visit with the florist, dress fitting #2, cake tasting (yum), meetings at the venue with the caterer, photographer and wedding planner. Oh yeah...and breathing, occasionally.
Thing #2 flies back to Cincy today. I refuse to say she flies back home. Because I will forever define "home" as here with me. Sorry. Of course, I will let Thing #2 have her own definition of "home". But someday, when she is lucky enough to have a daughter of her own...she will understand she was wrong, haha.
So fly away Thing #2. Safe travels. And I will see you back "home" in a few months...before the wedding. Hopefully, I will have a dress by then. Seriously, the mom-of-the-bride should NOT have more problems settling on a dress than the BRIDE!
Here's where I "link up" today.
Please join me on Sundays for Song-ography.
This week's song title is the Beatle's "All You Need Is Love".
Happy planning!!
ReplyDeleteCrazy week here too. I think something in the air... Wedding planning sounds fun. I am already hinting to my 17 yr old that eloping is less expensive LOL
