...without yellow and orange."
-Vincent Van Gogh
Gettin' a bit of those winter blues. Gettin' a bit blue about always photographing snowy white. Or, what it eventually morphs into...various shades of snowy, slushy, dirty grey. Time for some yellow and orange courtesy of last summer. And since the winter blues also means winter boredom has set in, I decided to waste time experiment with the Waterlogue app that seems to be all the rage. I can see why! And if my normal pattern prevails...
winter blues + winter boredom = winter shopping
Which means, I think I'm going to turn some of the results of my blues and boredom into canvas and/or notecards.
"No Blue Without Yellow and Orange #1"
"No Blue Without Yellow and Orange #2"
"No Blue Without Yellow and Orange #3"
As of today, only one month remaining of winter. And you know what THAT means...winter blues will soon give a way to spring allergies! Bring on those yellows and oranges (and Claritin!). Life is good.
Here's where I'm linking up today ..."The Party's On"
Please join me on Sundays for Song-ography.
This week's song title is the Bangle's "Hazy Shade of Winter".
That is very cool! I love how those look. I'm going to have to check it out. It's feeling much more springy here in the south now. The north will catch up soon enough!

ReplyDeleteooo perty! I am trying to resist the urge to shop - trying. trying. oh look a sale....
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the watercolor app yet. When I catch my breath, I just might. The winter blues have set in for me, as well. Didn't see it coming and then I got blindsided. It's definitely time for a change. Hope some of these temporary warm winds we have make it to you just for a bit!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! The YELLOWS!!! My favorite! And I thought of note cards the minute I saw them!
ReplyDeleteToday we had sunshine and you could actually feel the warmth in it on your skin. I got so excited.... not long and the clocks change and then there can be evening walks

ReplyDeleteThese are just wonderful. They are so vibrant and cheerful. The perfect thing to brighten up a dreary winter day. The 1st one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteOh my word. These pictures are so gorgeous. Thanks for reminding me about Spring allergies. DARN IT! : ) I can hardly wait for spring though. Even if it does mean that my eyes are red and puffy and my nose is forever stuffed up! Bring it on!
ReplyDeleteFor me it's allergies in the summer and asthma in the winter ... it's a not winnerz(Claritin and Singular). But I am not allergic to your beautiful summer paintings ... I can breath it in and enjoy it to the fullest. Very nice (and I am curious about the Waterlogue App ... do you have to have an i-pad to use it?).
