...Friday.
1. I am tired of snow
2. I am not a huge fan of Valentine's Day
3. I might as well combine the two with something I DO like...photography. Because a negative x a negative = a positive? (I admit it, I had to ask the Better-Half if my math equation was correct)
4. I do not like math
5. When it comes right down to it, I guess any day that promotes a feeling of love isn't all THAT bad. What would be better is a day that promotes a feeling of love...for MATH.
Here's where I'm linking up today ..."The Party's On"
Please join me on Sundays for Song-ography.
This week's song title is Meatloaf's "I'd Do Anything for Love (but I won't do that)."
I am tired of snow and I could be happy with snow 6 months of the year....now that says how much we've had!!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had much snow at all this winter -- we need it, but I'm not unhappy about the situation. Lovely images Kathy. xo
ReplyDeleteI used to not like Valentines Day either....way too much pressure and disappointment. But, that has gone by the way side and I just let it be what ever it can be and a time to think about love. I'd hoped to send my kids away something in the mail and for the ones at home a gift but not to be this week because of sickness. I sent some e gift cards to Starbucks instead and will take the ones at home out for a treat. I dropped the pressure. My husband and I roll with what works too with no pressure. As for your post, I loved it!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I - for one - am glad you love photography! This is great - the concept, the shot, the edit. Just perfect. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteTotally get what you're saying, it did start out as a pagan holiday...and it wouldn't be so bad if people were really spreading "the love" instead of just buying chocolates! Love the photo!
ReplyDeleteI do not like Math either.... and my kids homework in this subject always defeats me. I like the snow though, sadly all we have is rain, rain, rain..... it is relentless
ReplyDeleteMollyxxx
Love this! Wishing you a warm hearted valentines day:-)
ReplyDeleteLOL -- love for math might take some doing! Great photo. I think everyone is looking forward to spring. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI could never celebrate a day of love for Math. It would just feel so wrong! We aren't big Valentine's celebrators here, either. I will probably just make a nicer dinner and call it a day. I never really disliked Valentine's Day, but there is a sort of forced, "impress me with your affection" tone to it. I can fall prey to that from time to time, but it really shouldn't be like that. It's that whole expectations beast again.
ReplyDeleteI love snow, and Valentine's Day, but I do not love math! That's a terrific photo!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, and you are right, I'm not that crazy about Valentine's day either, especially now!!
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Day to you too.
ReplyDeletegreat photo. I don't care much for valentines either but at least you have an excuse to buy yourself something sweet, not that you ever need a reason...
ReplyDeletehave a great day.
That's a pretty nice Valentine's photo for a girl who's not fond of either snow or Valentine's Day. I like the way those little pink hearts drift up like steam rising from your thawing snowy heart! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day, Kathy! I love that snow heart - wonderful bokeh too!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and post. I said GREAT! I love your sense of humor. ♥
ReplyDeleteSweet picture. Hopefully your day has included some chocolate or whatever your vice is (I've given up chocolate, so mine was sushi with crunchies on top). I personally could care less about Valentine's Day despite it being the day my husband proposed and the day after my sister's birthday. Just too much pressure - have a date, do something special, cards (ugh), flowers, candy, yadda, yadda, yadda. But my husband loves the day - so I do my best. Have a good one.
ReplyDeleteI am not a hearts and flowers girl. I feel loved everyday not just Valentine's. I photographed some cows today, while everybody else is photography hearts.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! Great picture...love that red!
ReplyDeleteGreat Valentine's post Kathy! I just love your logic...a negative X a negative = a positive! And I'm with you on the Valentine's Day sentiment..TGIF for sure! Great shot and AB FAB caption! Aloha, Girlfriend! Stay warm and safe and dry! It won't be long now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative picture. At first, I didn't realize it was gloved hands holding a snowheart. Love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your attitude!
What a great photo.. I wish I could bottle up some of this sunshine and send it your way.. They say it will be in the High 70 tomorrow. That just means summer will get here too quickly and it will be too hot here.. Time to pack up and head out..
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Even though I'm also not a big promoter of Valentines Day, I am happily confessing my love of your photos - just that skill of yours to manage such clarity in each capture, alone. Thanks, Renee.
ReplyDeleteI'm in agreement with you 100%. Love the photo.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is that people dislike about Valentine's Day. It's a day to share LOVE, what could be better then that.
ReplyDeleteLove your heart of snow, the red gloves really set it off.
I hear you about math...not one of my better subjects.
Smile... number 5! Ummmhmm, great shot too.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo and not really that hugh on Valentines when we can love all year long. Lovely post.
ReplyDeletexoxo
I love your header. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteYou made me smile! I hope you survived :)
ReplyDeleteI feel in love everyday, so also at Valentines Day :)
Enjoy a good time! Spring is not far away!
Your Picture is perfect - simple and powerful, love it!
ReplyDeleteAww that's lovely x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photograph and would love to see this on a card (not for Valentines Day though!)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how I missed this...but we are alike! Love all this neg. space and then that pop of red.
