"Winter at Sunrise"
Horsham, PA
I'm late, I'm late for a very important date. Probably because I'm too preoccupied with my camera these days. Christmas is gonna be here before I even have my presents wrapped if I don't soon back away from the Canon. At least I have presents. Thank goodness for overnight shipping. Tis the season...
1. I procrastinate too much. Didn't use to be like this. I've gotten much worse.
2. I get distracted too much. Didn't use to be like this. I've gotten much worse. Look...a squirrel!
3. I'm eating too much. Okay, I've always been like this. I've gotten MUCH better at it.
4. I'm sitting around on my butt too much. I go in spurts with this. I've got a date with the gym January 6th when I hope to re-establish our on again-off again relationship. It says so on my calendar. IF I don't get distracted or procrastinate. Hope I remember to look at my calendar. Look....a chocolate chip cookie!
5. I'm tired too much. Who knew procrastinating, getting distracted, eating too much, and do nothing could be so exhausting?!?!!?
The worse thing about all this? I sound EXACTLY like my teenager. Hmmmm...I'll worry about that tomorrow.
Here's where I'm linking up today ..."The Party's On"
Please join me on Sundays for Song-ography.
This week's song title is "Silver Bells".
OK, you are definitely way ahead of me! First, I need to update my blog!!! YIKES...Where does the time go! Last child is home from college last night, and we are good to go! FA LA LA...and all that jazz! Aloha Kathy, to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteYou are killing me the snow images! My Christmas is starting to get a bit balmy. Humph. This season is going too fast. So much to do still. I hope you get it all done without distractions and cookies...but maybe that is how we get through, after all.
ReplyDeleteAwesome sunrise shot!

I seem to be scatterbrained right now as well, Kathy -- must be the time of year and all the preparations and having a son staying with us over the holidays... I think I'll have another piece of fudge... :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! You always make me laugh...I so relate to all you say. Yep, the older I get, the more I don't remember a single thing. Your photo is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI have to remind my brain to engage.
ReplyDeleteBut if I know you, the presents will be rapped and the table set beautifully by the time Christmas Eve rolls around. Love the snowy day photo!
Cheers!
Susan

I'm right there with you on the online shopping thing. Amazon and I are best friends ever since I bought there $79 a year deal that offers 2 day shipping...all my shopping done online in one place with NO shipping charges...well, almost none...now and then a smaller company charges me a small fee but woohoo...I got to spend more time with my Nikon D90 this season! And I even caught some flying snow to boot...which rarely happens at the Jersey Shore...Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteYou always keep me laughing with your wonderful posts. I am still buying presents and wouldn't you know it today we got a snow storm. I am not a "white" Christmas person but what can you do...keep on keeping on.
ReplyDeleteHow early did you have to be up to catch that gorgeous photo? Absolutely amazing, Kathy. I bet those gifts will be perfectly wrapped once you get started. You know you love it!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I write things on my calendar all the time, then forget to look at it. :-) Lovely winter photo!
ReplyDeleteNo gym for but regular walking dates with my camera....whether permitting

so true the older I get I start to sound like a teenager also. I only don't have the energy that a teen has but I tend to not make my bed like a teen does. Love the snow image it is gorgeous. Happy holiday.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS Winter scene! Great post...it made me smile. (Probably cuz it hit too close to MY home!)
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! thank you so much for making me laugh! Love the way you write. This is my first time stopping by. Will be pinning your blog ansd stopping by again. THANKS!
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous snow scene. Still don't want to go out in it though. Pass the chocolate truffles!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post Kathy! Just what I would expect from you, and that photo is just gorgeous! Nothing more beautiful than fresh snow, and it looks as if you have plenty. Don't worry, somehow, magically, everything you need to have done, will be done, and it will be on time too. The mom fairy takes care of it, and is very good at multitasking!
ReplyDeleteIncredible shot and you made me laugh thank you. Enjoy the holidays. B
ReplyDeleteGorgeous snow shot. Funny, funny, funny!

Happy Holidays to you and yours!
And... get your butt to the gym on the 6th of January! ;)
You know, I have one of those "on again off again" romances going on myself with my gym. Ugh... :\
hehehe! I don't remember being so tired as a teenager, but mine is the same way. Maybe it's in the water?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous morning shot. I keep meaning to remind myself to get my act together and get some winter morning shots - but on all those mornings I'm up at 5ish I'm busy getting everyone together and out of the house and on all those mornings I'm not up at 5ish - well, I'm snug as a bug and taking pictures never squeezes in between the zzzzzs.
I think I'm glad you're obsessed with your camera. That shot is just stunning!
ReplyDeleteThat photo is beyond fantastic. Absolutely stunning!
