"City sidewalks busy sidewalks,
dressed in holiday style.
In the air there's the feeling of Christmas...
Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city.
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
soon it will be Christmas Day."

Welcome back to another Song-ography Sunday. Xmas -3 days! Hopefully there is plenty of holiday style surrounding you and your cameras. Can't wait to see what YOU see thru your lenses, and how you've interpreted this week's Song-ography challenge. I want to wish a very merry and joyous Christmas to all of those who celebrate, and a happy holiday season to everyone. Next week's Song-ography song is...
Home for the Holidays
(I'd PAY to be a part of this video...if only I could wear my own dress!)
Next week's Song-ography will be posted earlier in the day on Saturday, as Saturday night I will be noshing on peanuts and trying to grab a few winks as I cross the pond to jolly old London (any potential robbers reading this...warning: the house WILL be occupied with people and DOGS, but if you want to grab the broken HUGE flat screen tv in our garage...I'll leave the door open). Therefore, I will be a bit tardy in visiting all your blogs. But I hope youse guys all carry on in my absence. As always, thank you sooooooo much for joining in on Song-ography. It is ALWAYS a treat seeing your creative talents at work! Merry Christmas!
P.S. You can now find me on Facebook. Please hop on over to You'll Shoot Your Eye Out and give me a "like".
HA HA HA!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I thought it was JOY TO THE WORLD - Um... NOT! It's SILVER BELLS! Crap... Sorry, Kath! LOL! I should've checked first! I could have sworn it was Silver Bells... :\
I really am rusty on Christmas Carols if I get Silver Bells confused with Joy To The World... [Rolling my eyes...] he he he ...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Kathy! It is so interesting how different various parts of the country look at the holidays. I went out on friday over to Fort worth to get some holiday shots at the stockyards and alas, although I had my camera, and 3 lens, when I took the first shot, realized... oooppps, the memory card was at home in the computer. No prob, will use my IPHONE, but guess what ... dead battery. Toook a few with my husbands phone but UGH...... Maybe will try again tomorrow. Meanwhile. love your shots. Once again, have a wonderful family holiday.... one to remember!
ReplyDeleteSuch a festive post. I'm loving the warm glow in these photos, especially the 4th, 5th and last photos. - Wow, London for Christmas...I wish you an awesome time but I'm happy to be staying "HOME" for the holidays. Merry Christmas to you & your family. I've so enjoyed being a participant in this awesome meme this year and look forward to next years songs.
ReplyDeleteLovely post Kathy, love that last shot. Have a great trip over to this side of the pond x
ReplyDeleteI miss the days living back in the city and people did actually go-a-caroling. Love the natural decorations. Have a safe and wonderful trip and Merry Christmas Kathy.
ReplyDeleteYour post has it all, wreaths, ribbons, candles, greenery, and people. Thanks for hosting Song-ography!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so beautiful where you are! Thanks so much for hosting this fun link up. Your blog is always such a hoot to visit, and I just love your comments when you visit mine. I hope your holidays are magical and you have a fantastic trip!!
ReplyDeleteThis Christmas season has been full of surprises so far, like a flash mob of Carolers in the supermarket while I was there. What a treat. Everyone is safe and healthy. Can't ask for any more than that. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas full of joy and laughter. Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteyour images are so beautiful, awesome photography!! the last one was a favorite!!
ReplyDeleteAcross the pond? You lucky girl! Travel safely-tell the pilot he's got precious cargo. My faves here are the carolers and that first shutter shot. For such a tiny little alley, you scored some great images. Happy Christmas my friend. I'll hope someone takes away that broken TV from your garage. They can come get my big behemoth too so I can feel OK about scooting over to Sam's Club and getting upgraded to the 21st c.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the angles and processing of your photos. Great each and every time! Care to share what software you use? Have a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteDiane, I have been using Florabella's Colorplay actions for quite awhile now. Altho, I use them rather simplistically. I have seen some AMAZING end results people have attained by mixing and matching the actions.
DeleteThanks Kathy!
DeleteOh thse just scream Christmas time is here!!
ReplyDeleteLovely and super festive shots, Kath!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post with great christmas pictures…wishing you a wonderful time crossing the ocean! I will do the same ..only in the opposite direction after New Year taking my daughter to NEW YORK! Yes, it will involve a lot of shopping…for her!
ReplyDeleteAnother fun theme. Thank you for the opportunity to 'get-together'! Best wishes for safe travels to London (I'm envious:o)
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS video, and I once wore a dress very similar back in the mid '80's as a bridesmaid.
ReplyDeleteLove the window gate shot very pretty
ReplyDeleteThese are great photos! I love the festive decorations against the brick.
ReplyDeleteHave a merry Christmas, Kathy, and enjoy your trip to London!
Whoop for trips to London. You are going to need warm clothes and a rain coat, although we went to the Tower of London yesterday as Michael had never been before and it was a beautiful day of clear blue skies and sunshine, today, not so much. Oh and we found a lovely restaurant just near by called Bodeans which did amazing ribs and I had the hot apple cider with spiced cinnamon whisky.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to hook up end me an email, we have a few kids free days, maybe we could grab lunch.

Well, I made it to my second one here, oy...hopefully I can make this a regular thing in the future! Love your shots, especially the last one. I love Philly through your eyes xo
ReplyDeleteLove these festive shots! Yes, I'm quite late getting around, but that's how it rolls on vacation. Hope your Christmas was very merry!
