The week that was...
The last week of 2013. Which means...the last photo in my "Project 52" for 2013.
"Naughty or Nice?"
December 23 - December 30, 2013
Project 52 (52/52)
Twas the morning of Christmas when all thru the house, not a creature was stirring not even a....well NOTHING. Just moi and Dog #2. Killing time. Waiting for the Things to arise. Waiting for the Better-Half to arise. Waiting for Dog #1 to arise. Gave me some time to think. And this is what I thunk...
1. I'm happy
2. I'm healthy
3. I love
4. I'm loved
5. I'm thankful
6. I like to give
7. I don't like to take (except Hershey Kisses and shoes)
8. I have very good friends
9. I am a very good friend
10. I like WHO I am, and I like WHERE I am in life. I haven't always been able to say that.
Yes, the silence and realizations were a pretty darn good Christmas gift I gifted myself. Which means the obvious...
11. I'm a cheap date
Here's where I'm linking up today ..."The Party's On"
Please join me on Sundays for Song-ography.
This week's song title is Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten"
Great shot Kathy, and those are all very wonderful things to be able to say and think! How lucky we are!

What an adorable dog and so nice of him or her to keep you company in the wee hours of the morning. Wishing you and your family a wonderful New Year ahead filled with happiness, good health and wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Your personality shows through your writing so clearly. You're a riot!
ReplyDeleteI love this shot and have a vision of you and your dog waiting for everyone to arise. And after a previous post of your about your Christmas trees, this photo just highlights your skill in decorating them and the brilliant glow from the lights.
ReplyDeleteCheap date with all that good stuff attached? Your husband chose wisely. I'm glad you had time to reflect in the morning....as you so love the holiday and all it's festive accompaniments. As for that late rising by the "things"....my brother's 7 year old was awake at 2:45, 3:45, 4:30 and finally 5:15 when they all were up and out of bed ripping it all apart. By the time I caught up with the family at 11, the adults were looking pretty worn down. Bet they're ready for their "things" to sleep in a little later. Happy 2014 Kathy. I'm happy that we are friends.
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy, you always, always bring a smile to my face. And that last line, a great big chuckle. I'm very glad that I found your blog because it is always a very special part of my "me" time. Here's wishing you all the BEST in 2014! Aloha...and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteSuperb.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE #10!
& I love the photo above. That is a Christmas Card!!! xx
