We interrupt our regularly scheduled...

programming blogging, due to a breaking sunset...

"Peace"
Ambler, PA

You'd think I'd learn by now that my camera SHOULD be a fashion accessory no matter WHAT I'm wearing or WHERE I'm going.  I mean black goes with everything, and the body of my camera can hide a multitude of sins (okay, not really...but my camera bag sure can!). Fashion faux pas last night as I was driving out my driveway to meet some girlfriends for dinner.  Yep, looked to the sky and DANG...no camera. By time I ran back into the house and returned the colors had diminished a bit from the apex of their vibrancy.  That's the price I paid for my "What Not to Wear" moment. Should be de' rigueur to never leave home without it...my credit card AND my camera.

Not what I had planned to write about today.  But sometimes ya just gotta go with the flow AND bring your camera along for the journey.

Day #7.  November 7th - I am thankful for sherbet colored skies that stop me in my tracks, and make me late for dinner dates.  Apologies to my gals.

  1. So beautiful. I hit a LOW last night...as the sky was incredibly beautiful...and I was still behind my office desk. I'm sadder about this change of time/light this year than ever! By the time I leave it's too dark to take my 'shake off the day' walk around my pond. I've got some adjusting to do! This is such a pretty shot - I'm crazy about the silhouetted tree!

  2. Gorgeous sky! That purple is just amazing. I'm never camera ready for moments either. I should know better. Looks like you made the capture in time!

  5. Gorgeous! I love seeing trees silhouetted like that against the sky. The starkness and detail are just lovely. Well worth being a bit late for dinner. :-)

  10. ... the new black and all that. The ship has already sailed on my fashion sense, still I never seem to have my camera on me regardless of what I am carrying. Fabulous silhouette and sky.

  12. Good on you for going back to get your camera - but I wouldn't be justifying the delay in time - this photo is so completely fine. Thank you for your thank you in my comments, just so you're assured though, I don't just say it, the compliments are honest and deserved. Have a good weekend, Renee.

  13. Stellar capture even if the colors had diminished a little. I understand though...a few weeks back I left home without my camera and wouldn't you know it the sunset that night was spectacular and I missed it!
