"Once you choose hope,
anything is possible"

Hope, not to be confused with optimism. There is a subtle, yet important difference. "Optimism" is the belief that all will turn out in the way I desire. Whereas "hope" is the conviction and trust that no matter how something turns out...I will be okay.
Peanut M&M's? I'm optimistic I can snag a bag of them from the Halloween stash by the end of the afternoon. But my life sure would suck without "hope". Because I know that even if I get caught red-handed swiping those Peanut M&M's...I'm gonna be okay with, or without them.

Next week's Song-ography title comes courtesy of Adrienne at "My Memory Art". Which was kinda funny since I had just heard this song on the radio and was pondering it myself. But truth-be-told...the only reason I as holding off on it was because I had NO IDEA what I was going to do with it photographically. But it's time I challenge myself too. So take a listen, "All Kinds of Kinds" might sound like a simple country tune, but it packs a message (and isn't that the beauty of so many country songs?)...

Last week I was AGAIN moved by so many of your link ups, so I can't wait to see what you bring this week for "My Life Would Suck Without You". Can't wait to visit. And thanks for joining in!
Hope and Optimism along with M&M's is what keeps the world going.

ReplyDelete4 simple letters / immense power.
ReplyDeleteM&Ms - either way, you can't go wrong. When God said "Let there be Candy!" he was thinking M&Ms. I'm positive of it.

LOL! Love the analogy between hope & Peanut M&M's. Missed visiting your blog. Like the new header.
ReplyDeleteLove your shot Kathy, and definitely hope would be a very difficult thing to be without.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this...you may have just altered my feelings about all those "hope" quotes out there! This aligns the concept of hope and my definition of faith...which is so good for me! And, the window shot is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAdrienne...I love the quote "Hope is faith holding out it's hand in the dark, " George Iles
DeleteHope....yes! I've always heard that hope is not a wish. We often use the word hope interchangeably with wish...but it is a deep security as you mentioned. Hope goes so far beyond desires. Nice words friend. I love your depth mixed with humor.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful representation of the song of the week. The image you captured is lovely...and I agree, hope is so essential.
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you. I LOVE my iphone.. Great photo. And I love next weeks song. I sure hope to play along as well next week..

ReplyDeleteI love the explanation of the difference between optimism and hope. A subtle but important difference. Great photo to go with it!
ReplyDeleteGood job! I love how you have been this great composition with the window!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite sayings is... I live in hope... I think it is such an upbeat positive thought.
