In the spirit of gratitude...
"I get kissed by the sun each morning...
"Kissed By the Sun"
-Morning Solitude-
-Morning Solitude-
...put my feet on the hardwood floor.
"Just Me and My Shadow"
I get to hear my children laughing,
down the hall through the bedroom door...
"Universal Sign for Laughter"
Sometimes I sit on my front porch swing,
just soaking up the day...
"Pondering Place"
I think to myself, I think to myself,
this world is a beautiful place.
"Love"
Prague, Czech Repulic
I have been blessed,
and I feel like I've found my way.
I thank God for all I've been given,
at the end of every day."
--Blessed (Martina McBride)
"Blessed"
-The Better Half and Things. They bless me in all kinds of ways. Altho leaving dirty dishes in the sink isn't one of them-
Every day is the perfect day to give thanks and recognize the blessings that are in our lives. But to those who celebrate Thanksgiving and Hanukkah, it is truly a special time of the year for gratitude. And this week is extra special because Thanksgiving Day and Hanukkah have to both share this Thursday...a once in an eternity happening. So much to do if you observe both. Some will be lighting menorahs after pumpkin pie and sweet potato latkes, and waiting till after the football games are over to open gifts. Lots of possibilities, but the one thing we all should remember to do is acknowledge our blessings and give thanks. We all probably all have more than we even realize. Happy holiday to all those who celebrate!

The beginning of the holiday season is upon us. So let's start celebrating. Whether it be Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and it's preparations, Birthdays, the blessings of everyday, or celebrating the peace and quiet of solitude. Next week's Song-ography title is:
"Celebrate Me Home"
Kenny Loggins
I DARE ya to watch this video and not feel your heart swell. Remember "home" isn't necessarily confined by four walls. I know you are a creative bunch, you've proven that over and over again! Can't wait to see what you come up with. In the meantime...thanks for joining in on Song-ography. Looking forward to visiting your blogs.
P.S. You can now find me on Facebook. Please hop on over to You'll Shoot Your Eye Out and give me a "like".
