Fallen Leaf...

"Fallen Leaf"

Lessons from nature.  What can I learn ?

"To dance and fly a little while,
and really not to wait.
To shine the beauty of my soul,
before it is too late."

-Fallen Leaves

It's as simple as a single fallen leaf.

#5.  November 5th - I am thankful I live in a country where I have both the freedom AND the duty to vote.  God bless America.

Here's where I'm linking up today ..."The Party's On"

  6. Great angle, poignant shot. I think part of it is the RR track -- always something romantic about railroads!

  7. Nice lesson. I like the lesson or twirling on your way down...so much better than a drop.

  8. Beautiful photo. It makes me think of loneliness and sadness that comes with the end of the colorful seasons of the year.

  9. The funny thing about this image is that in the UK the trains have been known to stop for the insane excuse of 'leaves on the line' which everyone now makes a joke of, quite rightly. This image made me think of that

  15. Love everything about this. The color is so true. The leaf is 'just right' - dried out but not colorless. And there's motion about to happen. I just know that any second the wind will lift it and send it dancing away. And the seconds that were THIS shot will be no more. Yup. Love this.

  16. There was a time when I would charge through fallen leaves without a second look. Since getting back into photography, it slows me down to appreciate some of nature's most charismatic final stages.
