Song-ography, the "Look Out Any Window" edition...

"Look out any window,
Look out any open door,
Look out any window,
See what's going on in the world around you."

-Bruce Hornsby

"Look Out Any Open Door"
Fairmount Park, Philadelphia

A great reminder that sometimes you need to push yourself out of the darkness and into the light to see what's going on in the world around you. And sometimes...it's kinda beautiful.  And you know what's going on right outside my door as I'm writing this?  Penn State is in it's 4th overtime vs. Michigan.  So please excuse my brevity!

Before you link up to this week's Song-ography, take a look at next week's song title...

"Best Day of My Life"
American Authors

Even if you don't decide to join in on Song-ography, I hope you take a look at this video.  It seriously makes you long for a dog's life....well maybe just a little bit!  I think it will be fun and interesting to see how everyone interprets "Best Day of My Life".  So many possibilities, both serious and not-so-serious.

Sorry to be so brief, but gotta see the end of the Penn State/Michigan game which has the potential to have a personal "Best Day in My Life" outcome.  Thanks for joining in on Song-ography, I look forward to visiting all your blogs!

P.S.  Penn State wins in the 4th overtime over Michigan!  Yep, it's a pretty darn good day!

  1. I have no idea who or what a Penn State is or what a 4th overtime might mean... but I love that image!

  2. Excellent shot! And I thoroughly enjoyed the game. I had to watch the game from the kitchen, though, cause they did better every time I left the room...incredible game!

  3. Sox just lost. So I'm glad the blogging world exists to get my heart and mind focused on something else. Your fall images have been completely breathtaking - and I love the idea of walking out of the dark into the light! Glad your boys won!!

    3. Haha...re: Penn State/Michigan...it's a case of the have's vs. the have nots. That game was as close to a bowl type atmosphere game those guys are gonna get. If it's any consolation to you, I'd root for Michigan over THE Ohio State :). Regarding the Tigers? Well, I am totally a National League girl so I know very little about them Tigers. The Sox on the other hand? They've got "Sweet Caroline" going for them :)

  4. Wow your photo is divine. I can just imagine passing through that doorway onto that path and taking a lovely stroll on a crisp autumn day.
My you are so into your sports. I miss watching football to some extent but now about the only sport I take in on TV is Professional Bull Riding and occasionally Figure Skating & Gymnastics. Glad your game had a happy outcome.

  6. Great photo, idyllic spot for a lovely Autumn walk. Congrats on the win, our local Univ. tried the 4 overtime against VA Tech and didn't fair as well (but had every opportunity in that game to win and squandered it - so there is a lesson in there somewhere). Enjoy your weekend.

  8. Good thing I'm not a hard knock college football fan or you & I wouldn't be seeing eye to eye today sister! LOL!
Your shot is crazy-scary similar to a little bridge & walkway just a 1/2 mile down the road from me. I did a double take when I saw it come up on my screen.
    Have a happy week!

  11. That's a spot....like standing there watching fall take over from summer. Nice little zig-zag framing at the top. Haven't been near a TV since Survivor on Wed (when I stared vacantly at the screen from my own little redemption island aka my couch) so don't know how Penn St fared. I hope well. It's time for them to get some good turn-around mojo happening. Thanks for the hostessing. Love the meme.

    1. Ahhhh Survivor. HATED Colten, but also hated seeing him go like that (altho my fits of laughter when he cuddled on up on his partners lap and cried...put a literal stitch in my side). And he didn't even get to burn his Buff! haha.

  17. Football season changes a lot of our schedules. I sat in the cold cheering on UCLA last night. They beat CAL by a ton but of course, we had to stay til the very last second!
    Glad your team won.
