Jumping into Autumn...

What I have found about myself:

1.  Endings, and saying good bye, make me sad.

2.  I find comfort in the familiar and am cautious about leaping into new things.

3.  But I leap anyway.  I'd rather jump into something new, than stay put and play it safe.  Comfort sometimes blinds me to possibilities.

4.  Diving into new situations opens my eyes to different prospects, and ways to create and play.

5.  Fresh beginnings, and saying hello, make me happy.

So "Cheers" to leaping into Autumn...and all the new possibilities it ushers in with it.

Here's where I'm linking up today ..."The Party's On"

This week's song title is Aimee Mann's "Two of Us"

  17. Hi Kath, that's the cutest little cherub in your photos. I love red-haired children. I was down at the beach myself on the last day of summer and took a photo of the lonely life-guard chair with the sign showing the life-guard was off duty. That's it for another year. :)

  18. Ah but without endings how would we ever enjoy beginnings? - Some lovely photos here. The series with the little boy was precious.
Loved that gorgeous fence and field in bloom in your last shot.

  20. You found the perfect little subject, with his orange shirt against the water. These are great thoughts -- I do get sad at endings, more as I get older. I get teary when I have to say goodbye to my kids. I guess as long as we can experience new beginnings, we will be able to live with the endings :)
