Things That Make You Go HMMMMMM...

I've been eye-balling Ms. Stasha's "Monday Listicles" over at The Good Life for quite awhile now.  Every Monday Stasha posts a list...duh.  Hey, it's Monday cut me break.  It isn't often I get accused of being "Queen of the Obvious".  This week's list is "Things that make you go hmmmmm".  Sounds like MY kinda listicle, not to mention a completely annoying 90's song that will burrow it's way into your brain.  So here I go,  random ramblings encompassing much ado about nothing.  Perfect, because I often feel I live in a world of "Hmmmmmm-ness"....

1.  How is it possible that the totally frumpy Camilla Parker Bowles looks sooooo much better in a hat than moi?  Gob-smacked I tell ya!  Totally Gob-smacked.

2.  At exactly WHAT point is it that cute little kids feet morph into big, sweaty, not so cute adult feet?

3  ...ORRRRR, at what point in human development does it transition from being okay to lift your shirt to show a cute little belly to "Ma'am...please put your shirt down before you hurt someone"?

4.    How is it this man could grow a beard and long hair yet....Tarzan couldn't.

5.  Why is endless energy wasted on the young, when "I" could REALLY use it and appreciate it soooooo much more at my age?  PULEEEEEEZE little girl, are you old enough to know how to share yet?

6.  I love the colors in nature yet...live in a closet of basic neutrals???

7.  "He's so ugly, he's cute".  WHO came up with that expression and WHAT was he looking at?

8.  Give me fast rides that go high in the air.   But Ferris Wheels scare the bejeezus outta me???

9.  Why is it that when inside, they are called "stairs"?  But when they are outside..."steps" it is?

10.  Hmmmm...WHY didn't I do this "Listicle Thingy" before??????

Things that make you go HMMMMM.  For those of you who don't remember this 1990's "classic", here it is for ya.  Warning, you'll be playing this in an endless brain loop today if you dare listen:

I wonder what things are going to make me go HMMMMM today?  Can't wait to find out.  Happy Monday!!!!

  2. You have such a GREAT knack of combining your photos with just outstanding comments! LOVE THIS!! A British friend of mine spent a few weeks in the states years ago and asked me after her trip...why do you park in driveways and drive on parkways? That's what your musings reminded me of!!

  5. If good things come to those who wait, why is procrastinating bad? (Found it a couple of days ago on 9gag.com. :))

Nice photos and comments. You made me smile, especially with Tarzan. Always wondered about that. :P

  9. Hey ya, I have lots of things that make me go hmmmm . . . . hmmmm, I may have to try this . . . like when you are on vacation, why does your husband have to work for hours? AND, why does there have to be a rip tide so we can't go in the water, and why on our first day is it going to storm? LOVE them all, but the Iris are my favorite!!

  10. These are great!! I love ferris wheels! You can see the home I grew up in from the top of the Ocean City ferris wheel (on a perfectly clear day with binoculars....)!

  16. You should definitely always do Listicles - it's so much fun!
Is that stairs/steps thing true? I think I've always used them interchangeably. Interesting.

  21. Well now you are on the Listicle party wagon! Welcome! How true about the feet! I love baby feet, but I might starve if I had to give pedicures. I hate adult feet.

And seriously? Why was Tarzan always clean shaven? One of the mysteries of the world. Ellen

  22. I think the feet transform around age 12. Great pictures!

  23. Visiting you back!!! FERRIS WHEELS SCARE THE POOP OUT OF ME!!! Love the comparison of little babies okay with lifing their shirts but we can't. I personally don't think it's fair.

  24. There is a magical point right around the age of two that feet become gross. I'm not sure what changes, but I will no longer kiss two-year-old feet. But baby feet are nummy. I'm glad you joined up! I always love reading some new blogs!

  25. Hmmm indeed! Awesome pictures and musings too :) I think about the wasted energy of youth a lot! Wish I could've saved some of my boinging about energy for now...it was fun though :)

  26. Fun, Kathy! As far as I know, Camilla's fantastic hats help hide her bland, homely appearance. Whereas you do not need the camouflage! Be glad of it.

  27. Stairs and steps? I never thought of that one! But now I will....forever...thanks?

  32. I, too, hate ferris wheels because one fell apart during operation at our county fair when I was a kid. Haven't been on one since!!! Great list!
