If you get the chance, please stop over at Ashley's "Ramblings and Photos" to see some amazing photographers who didn't get bogged down in their shoe closet...yep, I have a closet for my shoes. Don't judge! :)
1. Mismatch
Some day I WILL learn to use chopsticks without fear of shooting something across the room! Until then, I'm fork bound.
2. Routine
My morning routine is the gym, then coffee in my sun room...my favorite time of the day.
3. Music
Not sure there is any music better than the Beatle's "Abbey Road"...on vinyl, it's natural habitat.
4. Technology
Cell phones have made the standard pay phone a technological dinosaur good for political messages and artwork. Do you think they meant "War FARE"?
5. Show Me Your Style
What's my style? Well, depends on the day. But I do love my shoes regardless of what day it is...especially my shiny patent leather pumps. Just tell me how you can't smile looking at all that glimmer!
Sure hoping I feel more inspired with next week's Scavenger Hunt Sunday prompts. But if I don't, you can just look for me in my shoe closet.

You might think you don't "have it" but I am going gaga over your hunt this week. GAGA! All five of the photos.
ReplyDeleteYou did an awesome job this week! Such a creative "mismatch" shot. And I'm loving all those shoes.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck! These are all the bomb Miss Kathy, especially since I fell off the Scavenger Hunt Sunday wagon this week. I had a couple, but on cruthes, well I just got frustrated. Not everything looks good at standing eye level. And yes, your patent leather line up does make me smile even if I can't walk in them! ; )
ReplyDeleteWhat? You don't have it? I LOVE these pictures! Everyone of them! Especially routine...love the lighting, and shoes! Yes, the shoes!
ReplyDeleteYou are just way too hard on yourself, girl. You might not be feeling the love, but I sure am. These are all just faberlous! Love the routine and those shiny pumps are sure pretty. Very cool music shot.
ReplyDeleteYep you HAVE IT!! All your shots are incredible!! I love the lightning on your routine and music is very creative! Have a good Sunday!!
ReplyDeleteHaha I felt the same way this week regarding inspiration. You did well!

ReplyDeleteoh I love vinyl too!!
ReplyDeleteLove the flare in your in your shoes shot! Man, this week was tough for me, but you seemed to have nailed it! Good work!
ReplyDeleteOK, for not being inspired, you hit it out of the park. I too felt not so great about the prompts, but sucked it up and put something up. *sigh* here's to next week!
ReplyDeleteYour style and mismatch are absolutely beautiful photos !!!!!! But I like your style in all your photos. Well done !!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Sunday !
Wonderful shots - mismatch is a gorgeous photo.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a varied photographic style, I love to see what you come up with every Sunday and you never disappoint.
ReplyDeleteIf I have to pick a favorite it would have to be...'routine' with the wonderful shadows on the wall.
You are SO hard on yourself, these are beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThe funny but truthful thing is that when I first clicked into your blog , the photos came up before the writing. When I went to make a comment about your wonderful photos I had to refresh, and then I read your text. There's no just 'pass' here- I particularly love your mismatch, routine and your show me your style shot.
ReplyDeleteWow, I think your photos are awesome this week. I love the white space in your mismatch shot...It really adds the punch. The technology shot is really fantastic, too.
ReplyDeleteYou were so creative this week! Love the mismatch and music - the sun flare on your shoes is amazing!
ReplyDeleteand this was a rough week? I could run a marathon with even just your left-over creative energy (well, maybe not a marathon, but that is because I'm outta shape). You did an excellent job - and yea, the shine of those shoes makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so great, Kathy...but I really love your music shot!
ReplyDeleteSeriously? This is a great set! You certainly had it this week. Great job!
ReplyDeleteMornin' Kathy, looks like you got more than a "C" on this one to me. I am in love with that sunlit coffee mug and you know what I am going to do with that one.....:) Thank you! What color are you shoes today?
ReplyDeleteNude patent leather FLATS :)
DeleteHey Friend....your pics are better than the person who wrote the lead-in said they were ; ) So, OK, great shoes, but I love how that coffee cup turned out and I think your mismatch is super clever. And I'm not judging the shoes closet and I'm sure your not judgin' my lack of one. Have a wonderful day Kathy.
ReplyDeleteKathy - climb on out of the shoe closet... these are great!!! I love the lighting in your routine and music shots. And all those heels!!! Fantastic glimmer, my Friend!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' your shiny patent leather, super cool shoe line-up! And oh how I LOVE red shoes!!! One of these weeks I'm going to give Scavenger Hunt Sunday another go. Cut yourself some slack... you did a good job!
ReplyDeleteGREAT shoe shot. I would be hanging out in my closet too if they were in there! LOL
ReplyDeleteYour lighting and composition is spot on this week - beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...I can't pick a favorite shot. Love the coffee cup with the sunlight streaming in the window and what an awesome picture of your vinyl record...now climb out of the closet and go shoot some chocolate pictures...chocolate makes everyone feel better right?!!!!
ReplyDeletedont' worry, i am asian and typically, "asians" should know how to use chopsticks . . . well, not this one. i'm always the one asking for a fork whereas, my boyfriend, whom is of irish decent, could use chopsticks way better than me!
ReplyDeletei love your pay phone photo, you should see what i have for my technology photo, almost ancient as well ;D
and vinyls. . . the beatles. . . gosh, love this post. i felt i related a lot to you already in this post! <3 coffee . . . <3
have a great sunday!!
You're way too hard on yourself - that shoe shot is so glam and I love the mis-match. I was trying to work out if the words on the phone were a political statement or a spelling mistake!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, I posed the same exact question to the Better Half as I was taking the photo. Stupidity or Ingenious? :)
DeleteGreat post as usual Kathy, I do love your writing style! Should be an editorialist for the New york Times. Have you applied??
ReplyDeleteWonderful set. Mismatch is amazing, so are your shoes.
ReplyDeleteWe are in your neck of the woods! I was sharing with my Dad yesterday that you had to explain to the blogging world what Wawa was! Love your photo collection here ~ my favorite is Mismatch. You bring such a great perspective to what you shoot! Also...I would LOVE to know where you got that coffee mug. I'm a sunflower nut, and that's one of the prettiest I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteIt is a set of mugs I picked up at Home Goods a few years ago. The handle just fits my hand perfectly. It says "Maxcera" on the bottom of the mug and made in Belgium.
DeleteWell girly girl.. I think your photos are fab.. Everyone of them. But I do know what you mean by not feeling it. I just couldn't get a good shot this week!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Linda
You are too hard on yourself - these are all awesome! My daughter would love your shoe closet...we've always called her the shoe queen. The lighting in both your coffee mug and vinyl shots is amazing. And I love your unique take on technology - that's a great capture! Thanks so much for your kind comments about my prompts, and in answer to your question, my daughter goes to George Mason University (Virginia). Have a good Sunday, Kathy! :)
ReplyDelete*sigh* This is one of my absolute fave places to visit <3 Great work with your hunt (especially if you felt uninspired! I like next week's prompts...feels like it might be a better week :D). That cup photo is fabulous, and I'm very impressed with your shoes! I don't even own a single pair of those 'fancy' kinds...I was thinking, though, of "showing off" my sneaker collection ;) Heh...maybe not.
ReplyDeleteI had a crash course in chopstick usage when I lived in China for half a year....MAN, did I have nasty cramps in my hand the first couple of weeks (there were zero forks to be had at the restaurants, and I got tired of people laughing at me when I brought my own...so finally, I just had to bite the bullet and learn to use the darned things!)
I think I should just rely 100% on chopsticks...think of all the weight I would lose :) The "Chopstick Diet".
DeleteWell I think you did a great job....My favorite has to be the shoe closet...I am definitely a shoe person so I can identify......
ReplyDeleteAnother great set, as always! I love your routine shot the best - that mug makes me want coffee!
ReplyDeleteoh, my gosh! your shots for this one are crazy cool!!!
ReplyDeleteand apparently, several other people thought so! my favorites are mismatch and music. NICELY done!
I'm sorry you aren't feeling the love....but I sure am! Those shoes!!! (drool) and that album.....YOWZA that rocks Kathy!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a tremendous set- I enjoyed every single image. I love the mug- morning is my favorite time of day so I can identify with the sentiment and the photo embodies that great feeling of "new day, new possibilities." I grew up on the Beatles and I really love the angle you chose for that record! I also love your angle on "Technology"-so creative!
ReplyDeleteGreat set Kathy, I think you "have it" this week, definitely!! But i do understand that feeling. Love your "music", gorgeous shot of colour on the label! And "technology' is awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos! I know what you mean though. Some weeks the prompts and I are just not getting along and I don't really love what I came up with.
ReplyDeleteThis week I love your mismatch and music shots. They are great!
This week was hard! Love your coffee cup, and gorgeous light. LOL, love the natural habitat of your music, and your great style shot too!
ReplyDeleteI think you've outdone yourself and everyone else! Great imagination..
ReplyDeleteKathy, your mismatched photo is GREAT! Perfect white balance!!! And I also really love your music (natural habitat, lol!) and technology shots! Girl, for "not feeling the love" you sure gave lots of it here! Just imagine then, will you, what we'll get to see when you've got the love flowing!!! Oomph!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! :)
