Seeing Red...

"Red Maples"
University Park, PA

Confession time.   I gave my Better Half my camera to  hold while I went into the restroom while tailgating up at Penn State last weekend.  When I came out he said "feel free to delete the  photos I took of those trees".  Yeah, yeah, yeah....this is my Better Half's photo.  Seriously ticks me off he took such a great photo on MY camera! But, just to make it "mine" I did some SERIOUS editing to give it a "painterly" feel. I vaporized six other people in the picture (poof!), used my current FAV "bakery glaze in vanilla" action multiple times...then went to town with a raised texture I've been waiting to use.  So THERE...it is MY photo now :).  And I'd like to ask my Better Half one question...would you want ME to use YOUR drill,  say "open up wide",  and fill a few teeth at your office next week?  Hmmmmmm?

  4. Such a great shot.. You just don't see trees like that in Vegas.. The leaves just turn brown and fall off..
