You just can't hide your true colors forever. Eventually, they will always come out and burst forward. And more often than not...those true colors are so much more vibrant than what you were hiding behind anyway. Isn't it interesting this happens in the autumn of one's life? So says the 51 year old! Think I'll wear some red today and celebrate my true colors, which means....I'm going shopping for a new pair of leather boots!

Love those bright orange colors against that beautiful blue sky, autumn is the only time of the year for this beauty. Are you buying RED boots...can I borrow them, please, huh, please!!
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean by those true colors . . . my next birthday is the big '50'!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous image, those colors against the sky! Have fun boot shopping. I'm feeling the need for some PINK ones, cowboy ones of course! ; )
lovely blue :)
ReplyDeleteBright autumn colors against that blue sky, I just love it.
ReplyDeleteIsn't funny, that as you grow older certain colors that you would never have worn before, are the one that now look great on.
Wow... this is stunning! Love the colors and the light and the flare. Just a gorgeous shot!
ReplyDeleteI love that colour of leaf against such a wonderful sky.
ReplyDeletehope those leather boots worked out well! don't worry, i totally won't steal them when i'm home :o)
ReplyDeleteLove those true autum colors in the trees, Kathy. Your sky is a perfect backdrop.
ReplyDeleteWell, did you wear red? I wore blue striped, blue, and blue striped shirts and black--early and late--and kakh--to go out--shorts today. Those plus my P.J.'s till eleven (blue and blue).
Good luck on the boots. Wear them while you can. I did when I was 51 but my right foot has finished cratering now. Dr. says to wear only athletic shoes with athletic support for me anymore.
Happy MidWeek Blues, I'm sure you wanted to know all that (not).
..
I love the contrast of the leaves and the sky. I hope you had fun shopping!
ReplyDeleteReally love the composition. The natural lens flare makes this a postcard perfect shot!
ReplyDeleteI would love to live somewhere where the leaves turn.. Here in the desert it goes from green to dead.. No beautiful colors. Why I still live here I have no idea..
ReplyDeleteYour photo is fabulous..
Jim...I NEVER let physical issues or comfort get in the way of a good pair of shoes/boots. One must suffer for fashion sometimes, haha.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteoooh love that - gorgeous shot.
ReplyDeleteHey, you and I are the same age. 1960 was a great year. :)
