365-day project (week #33)...

The week that was (August 8, 2016 - August 14, 2016):

"The Great British Baking Show-wannabe"
221/365

"Game Changer!  The secret to a happy, and snore-free, marriage"
222/365

"When the mail brings more than the bills!"
(thank you to a dear blogging bud!)
223/365

"My personal 'Chip Gaines' installing shiplap"
#joannagainesismyspiritualanimal
224/365

"It FEELS even hotter!"
225/365

"Peach season has arrived"
226/365

"Voila', mission accomplished...shiplap is up"
(stay tuned for more photos of the finished room)
227/365

Week 33.  We are in a holding pattern.  Grand #1 is due in less than 2 weeks (if she breaks the familial norm and is actually on time), and Thing #3 heads back to college at the end of the week (she BETTER be on time!).  In the meantime...just trying to not wish time away.  But seriously, let's get on with it!  #timeflies #sometimestimedoesntfly

  1. LOVE that nursery look! I had a good friend visiting for a long weekend - she filled me in on who the heck Chip Gaines was and what exactly your better half was doing. Looks like I've discovered a possible new addiction.....

  4. I want to do shiplap in our home somewhere. I am just not sure where. Yours turned out beautiful.

  6. Love your peach photo. It's an inspiration and it confirms my want-of-the-day. Just today, I phoned my orchardist friends in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, to ask "If I plant a peach pit, will a peach tree start to grow?" The answer was yes, providing I'm not in a rush. It will take a couple of years or more in the house before it can be put outside, not to mention the fact that southeastern Alberta, while sunny and hot in summer, is bitterly cold in the winter, so my seedling tree might not make it. Not to mention I'm not as young as I useta wuz. So we'll see.
