Song-ography, the "59th Street Bridge" edition...

"Got no deeds to do
No promises to keep...

I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep...

Let the morning time drop all its petals on me...

"Morning Time Drop All it's Petals on Me"

...Life I love you
All is groovy."

-59th Street Bridge Song (Simon and Garfunkel)

You know what they say, when life gives you lemons (or flowers past their prime)...photograph them.

**********

Welcome back to Song-ography.  I am a bit sad to tell you that THIS will be the LAST Song-ography link up.  It's been three years.  And I'm ready to to take a break from hosting a weekly link up.  I haven't had the time to visit everyones' submissions the past few weeks, and I hate being a rude hostess.  So it's time to end this party.  I've been mired in a  photography and blogging "bog" the past few months.  I'm hoping to take some time and figure out exactly where I want my photography and blogging to lead me.  I need some time with "no deeds to do, no promises to keep".  Therefore, it seems like the right time to end Song-ography, and to thank everyone who has taken the time to link up.  I hope the idea of combining song/lyrics with photography has inspired you...and will continue to do so.  Sing on!  Photograph on!

  1. I'm sure it's not easy being the hostess with the mostest...but 3 years is a darn good, respectable run Kathy. Beautiful photos.

  2. I enjoy this stage in a flower's life...don't know what thay says about me ;-/ Hugs to you - I know this isn't an easy decision, but it will open doors to what's next. I've been having many thoughts about my blog too...thinking of a shift and kind of in a holding pattern until I decide what's next! Hugs!

  8. Aww that's sad Kathy - just when I've decided to reopen my blog - lol! I totally understand though, that's why I stopped blogging a year ago. I had to work on my professional photography websites and marketing etc (no fun at all). Now I've decided I need a place just for me with no pressure about what I post or don't post. Do hope you're back soon x

  9. I love flowers that are beginning to fade... not sure why. Lovely shots here Kath, the tones in all the shots are relaxing.

Although, I am sad you are ending a great link-up, I totally understand. I feel much the same way and have thought about closing my blog all together. I hope you find clarity in your break and selfishly I hope you do not leave the bloggy world all together. I have enjoyed getting to know you.
