"I'm gonna build a big wall, and...

...keep out Christmas "stuff".  But only the ILLEGAL Christmas "stuff". You know, all that Christmas "stuff" that permeates it's way into our lives BEFORE Thanksgiving.  Even worse, those most flagrant abusers who sneak in BEFORE Halloween.   And it's never that GOOD Christmas "stuff". It's that cheap, shoddy, tacky Christmas "stuff".  It takes over our store shelves, our minds, and our quality of life by not allowing us to live in the moment. How is it fair to that turkey who waited patiently his turn, only to be overshadowed and taken over by illegal Christmas "stuff"?  It'll be...not a penetrable wall. Not a crummy wall. This will be a serious wall, because nobody knows how to build a wall better than moi. It's gonna work.  Trust me.

Don't get me wrong.  I love Christmas "stuff".  My loaded basement shelves can back me up on that!  So I'm gonna build a HUUUUGE door in that wall. A great big, beauuutiful door.  A door where all that Christmas "stuff" can walk on thru into my home when they are legal....AFTER Thanksgiving.  Heck, it can be 12:01 a.m. the morning AFTER Thanksgiving.  In fact, it probably WILL be 12:01 a.m. when my life begins to be flooded with Christmas "stuff".  But it will be flooded with LEGAL Christmas "stuff".  Christmas "stuff" that waited it's turn and will be proud to be in my home, contributing fully to the true spirit of the holiday. Yeah, it might be "Made in China", but once it comes thru that great big, beauuutiful door in that huuuge wall...it's American.

Who's gonna pay for this wall?  Thanksgiving, Veterans Day, Halloween, and maybe with a bit of arm twisting...Bosses Day (October 16th, it really can use all the attention and benefits it can get!). Why?  Trust me folks, they are gonna WANT to pay.  They won't put up a fight.  Why?  Because they know my Twitter has become so powerful that I can actually make my enemies tell the truth and do what I want.  No one wants to mess with that kind of power!

I'm gonna build a big wall to keep Christmas "stuff" from arriving too early, illegally.  With a big, beautiful door to walk on thru when the time is right, legally.  And I'm not gonna pay a thing for it! Trust me.  It's gonna work.  Because I said so.  If not?  Then Christmas "stuff"...you're fired!

  2. I totally agree with you on this and have even considered banning stores who have this Christmas stuff up so early. I find it really aggravating! Haven't been by for awhile as I have been recovering from my surgery, but look forward to seeing you more now that I am improving. Happy fall to you!

  4. My husband asked me if he could start putting up the lights - if that was OK. And I told him that was totally OK. But we couldn't turn them on until Thanksgiving night. He said that was just fine...because he knows what is good for him lol!

Thank you for joining us for Photo Friday!

  9. What a fab shot of some 'illegal' Christmas stuff. I must say I agree though, it's ridiculous that Christmas "stuff" is on the shelves before Halloween has even occurred!
