Unnecessary freezing of water...

It's not officially "snow"... until Christmas.  Certainly NOT on November 13th after the sun set.  The weather, according to Moi.

1.  Yes, this happened.  Yes, it's November.

2.  No, I am not happy.

3.  Thing #3 is not happy either.

4.  The 17-year-old, first time winter driver, apparently knows more about "unnecessary freezing of water" and the effects on one's car in in the morning...than Moi.  As explained by her total disregard of my suggestions.

5.  Thing #3 left for school this morning facing an "unexcused late" upon her arrival.  Truth?  Yes, this makes me happy.

Here's where I "link up" today.

Next Tuesday's Song-ography title suggestion is..."Pocketful of Sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield.

  1. Good Morning Kathy, we got a bit of the white stuff over night too. It's so pretty on all the trees. It didn't stick on the roads and driveways. That's the way I like it. We'll just pray for angels and traveling mercies for Thing #3 while she is on the road.

  2. #1 Yes things happen, we are not in control.
#2 Happy is a better emotion.
    #3 What?
#4 It takes a 17 year old a looooooooong time to learn the things they think they know!
#5 OK now I understand thing #3, ah the learning lessons of life.

  3. Not so cold here but cold enough to want to stay indoors. So, I guess that is what I will do. Hope thing #3 gets where she is going safe and sound.

  4. I agree...snow is not appropriate for this time of year-it's too soon!!! Of course, I live in the sunshine state, so what do I know?
Don't you love it when your kids 'know more' than you do, but they are able to 'prove themselves' wrong on occasion??? *YES*
    Have a great weekend-stay warm!

  5. Yep - same thing here this morning, though the temp is above freezing so it didn't stick around long. I'm not ready for it either.

  12. Smiling, smiling, smiling. Thank goodness for fearless, self righteous teenagers. May all their lessons be learned gently.

  15. I am soooo not ready for old man winter. And that frigid 22 degrees this morning...what's up with that??? Poor dog didn't even want to go out! Humph...the wood stove is burning hot and the soup recipes are coming out. Happy Day to you, Kath. Aloha!

  16. Not only do I love the picture, but your comments just make me chuckle. Having lived in Germany coming up on 5 winters WITHOUT a garage, I can feel her pain of cleaning off the know and hacking away at ice. And please note, the earth friendly German's do not believe in idling your car, not even to melt the snow and ice off.
