"Song-ography, the 'Pocketful of Sunshine' edition...

"The sun on my side and takes me for a ride
I smile up to the sky, I know I'll be alright."

-Pocketful of Sunshine (Natasha Bedingfield)

"Pocketful of Sunshine"
Stone Harbor, New Jersey

Today it's rainy, it's cold, it's grey, it's almost winter...it's downright miserable.  Take me away, to a secret place, a sweet escape, take me away.  Or...I'll take a pocketful of sunshine to save for the next rainy day.

Whoa...throwing it back.  Waaaaaay back.  1968 kinda back.  Funny how fashions might change, technology might change, prices might change, daily life might change.  But, there are just some issues that appear to be timeless. Originally recorded by Sly and the Family Stone, next Tuesday's Song-ography suggestion is...

"Everyday People"
Joan Jett

A big apology for not commenting on everyone who linked up last week.  I was a silent visitor.  Stealth.  I will try to be noiser this week, and make my presence known.  Thanks to all who link up!  And remember, each week's Song-ography prompt is a suggestion.  Feel free to use it, or come up with one of your own.

    1. I was able to catch some of the ocean water reflecting the sunlight at just the right angle. Luck :). I always seem to be looking for the light.

  2. Currently here: temperatures in the 'breeze your butt off' range with flurries, and I too am thinking beachfront at the concept of 'take me away, a secret place'. Gorgeous silhouette and perfect location for the sunflare.
