"Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from Heaven
Like the first dewfall on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass."
-Morning Has Broken (Cat Stevens)
"Like the First Dewfall on the First Grass"
So I have to admit something. This was NOT what I was looking for. I dropped Thing #3 off at school one morning this week. The sun was shining brilliantly. I had some time. I had my camera. I knew what I wanted to find and where to go to get it. Guess what? I didn't get what I wanted. But, I got something better.
**********
Which totally brings me to next week's Song-ography choice...
"You Can't Always Get What You Want"
The Rolling Stones
Sorry, I know I told you I would go more "current" with next week's song choice BUT, like the song says...you just might find, you get what you need.
Thanks to all those who join in by participating in Song-ography, AND a shout out to those who stop by and comment. If you are on the fence about linking up, I urge you to go ahead and take the plunge. Can't wait to visit everyone's blogs to see your interpretations!

I love, love, love raindrops! We had so much rain last week, but due to work I did not get to shoot any photos of the drops :( Did I mention I love raindrops?! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dewdrops, I like how they're shining so brightly in the sun. All the little dots from the water remind me of dandelions :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I would always think of taking my camera with me....great eye to capture the bright and spekling drops on the fresh green grass. This weeks song took me straight down memory lane when I was very, very young and we all just loved Cat Stevens....way before he became someone else.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous capture - love that bokeh!!
ReplyDeleteMore often than not, the Rolling Stone's song applies to my photography experience. Some of my best work has come from what I ended up with rather than out I set out for. Awesome bokeh.
ReplyDeleteClever capture. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow Kathy, you really nailed that shot. Superb!

ReplyDeleteLove the sparkly dew! Perfect for morning. I'm having trouble getting on my computer today, so I'm gonna be late this week!
ReplyDeleteYou are the master ... do you know how hard it is to capture dew drops on the grass ... the light has to be perfect and you have to be at the perfect angle ... You are awesome! This is a beautiful post, Kathy ...

I have no idea what you were looking for but what you found was utterly amazing. I love how the dew almost looks like jewels shimmering in the morning light
