Fer sure...

Aha!  I have realized.  Learned.  Accepted.  These truths to be self evident...

  1.  "It's All in Your Perspective"
Tucson, Arizona

2.  After a night of drinking red wine, your teeth will be very stained...making you look like a hillbilly with missing and/or rotting teeth in any photo you are flashing a huge smile in.  And no one will tell you.  Which is why I drink white wine.

3.  There ARE "stupid" questions.  Any person who tells you otherwise...can't wait to leave the room to laugh at you.

#4.  "Keep it Simple"
Tucson, Arizona

5.  It's always better to find things out directly from your kids, rather than from another parent who can't WAIT to tell you.  However, your kid will bank on the fact that you will never find out from ANYone.  They are wrong.

6.  Don't buy sushi from a convenience store.

7.  It's not a good idea to use the Internet to self-diagnose.  You'll always wind up having a brain tumor...which you never knew could be caused by eating sushi from a convenience store.

8.  The BEST thing about watching "The Bachelor"?   The constant truth that I will be able to say at least once an episode..."Man, his/her mom must be sooooooo embarrassed right now!".

9.  I will always find something I want to buy...when I'm NOT looking for it.

#10.  "The Truth is Sometimes Painful"
Tucson, Arizona

(Which is exactly why I don't tell people they look like a hillbilly in a photo after drinking red wine).

P.S.  I would just like to point out that I DO link up posts to various blogs during the course of the week even tho I do not include their links WITHIN my posts.   Instead, I ALWAYS have the links available at the top of my blog under the tab "Link Ups".  That way, the links area always there for anyone who would like to join in, instead of only once a week.  I also always include the link up  tab at the bottom of each post.  I got reprimanded last week, and deleted from a particular link up because I was told I didn't "acknowledge" them in my post.  Which leads me to lesson...

#11.  You can learn something from EVERYone.  In this case?  I learned that I should delete their 'link up' from my permanent list.  Poof, they are gone.

Seriously...I appreciate everyone who offers the opportunity to link up and share posts.  I have met some of the most wonderful people that way...thank you!

Here's where I "link up" today.

Please join me on Sundays for Song-ography.
This week's song title is the The Byrds "Turn, Turn, Turn".

  1. Sushi might be a "convenience" but oh yes for sure - never buy that at a 7/11! And avoid Wed MD like the plague (-:

  2. Oh you always make me giggle....and I am not a sushi fan so buying it from a convenience store would definitely not be in my shopping bag. And I find too that if I go shopping I buy, so my only remedy is not to go shopping. Images remind me of my wonderful trip to Arizona earlier this year.

  3. Great photos--I love the rustic look of the first one. And what a sea of cacti! I agree that we shouldn't self-diagnose--but I don it all the time. :-)

  5. These are all very good, I relate to #6 and #9 fer sure. And if I don't buy #9 when I see it, then I will surely wish I had the following week. And #11, I think I know which link up that is...they don't get the listing of all the link ups...just don't get it or refuse to get it. I'm not sure which. But I poofed them too.

    1. Personallly, I love when people have their link ups set up this way. It's a very easy way to find new link ups to join...rather than hoping to catch a new one on a day by day basis.

  6. Oh your humor is so GREAT! Re: the dropped link up situation. I would like to know who appointed them the Blog Hop Police? What I LOVELOVELOVE about blogging is that holds to the Golden Rule more than anything else. You don't benefit if you are a snarky, selfish blogger. You do benefit if you are a fun, upbeat, positive person with breast cancer that can see the silver lining in even the darkest photographs. So there Blog Hop Police Person, so ...there! ( i love you Kathy, thanks for the unique humor you share)

  7. You are smart fer sure ... you learn from experience and you are kind enough to pass it on to those of us who are willing to learn from your experience. Others, I fear, have to learn the hard way. I think life is much easier if we learn from others rather than run into the wall ourselves ... just sayin' Sorry you had to "poof" someone. I have had occasion to do the same and it is not pleasant. But, I will tell you that I have been coming to your blog all of the time because of your "Link Ups" and I always stopped to read what you wrote. Now, I come to see what you have written and then go look at your Link ups ...I think you are very clever, much fun and I have enjoyed your blog immensely and plan to continue doing so. I also wanted to say about your very busy schedule due to wedding plans ... let me tell you, the one thing I remember most about my wedding was that after all of that planning and spending, it was over in a snap and I was off to my new life bearly realizing what had just happend. If you ever get fed up with it all ... eloping is a lot cheaper :). But as a photography buff, I can understand how nice it is to have pictues to go back to, down the road, to make sure you really did get married. I wish you the best Kathy ...

  10. Hi Kathy, I do understand the link up thing and why you chose to press the big red delete button. I did the same on Linkedin recently and just let it go altogether. Supposed to be a professional social media and mostly all I ran into was snarky people who berated others for misspelling or grammar usage when they were foreigners trying to do the best they can in English. Such a waste of time, I gave it up and am the better for it. I was becoming obsessed with being a "top contributor" on several sites and then I figured out "what for???"
Blessings to you and yours. Enjoy your week. Love the cactus shots............

  18. Great list! But sushi from a convenience store? I get goosebumps when I see it at a regular supermarket... And I am absolutely with you on #9

  19. The second shot is so simple and pretty! Love your list, they all make me giggle in agreement... may need to reconsider all the red wine I've been drinking (rosé is looking better and better!) ad can very much relate to #7,... it all said I wouldn't be alive today ;)

  20. Man these are funny and true. #5 gets on my nerves! There are some parents that just seem to take pleasure in relaying some small detail to you that usually is of no consequence. Like the parent who thought my daughter's dress was too short. Sorry my kid grew before we had time to update her wardrobe. On a more serious note...I better check my teeth.
