Song-ography, the "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" edition...

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,
everywhere you go."

-It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas (Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Johnny Mathis, Michael Buble', et al)

I dragged all the boxes up from the basement, climbed to new heights, and finally...it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in MY house too.  It is about time I caught up to the malls.

"It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas"
(pardon the big-foot UGGS, perhaps not fashionable...but they ARE stable for balancing)

Which is no small task because I have three trees to be-deck and be-dazzle.  Don't judge.  I use to have five!

The 10 foot main tree in the family room...

The always traditional "Baseball" tree in the sun room.  Baseball, popcorn, hot dogs, American flags, red, white and blue, fa-la-la Play Ball...

And last, but certainly not least, the 12 foot "Santa" tree in the foyer...

"...soon the bells will start,
and the thing that will make them ring
is the carol that you sing
right within your heart."

**********

Wishing you all bedecked and bedazzled halls.  You just can never have too much glitter and shiny thing-ies this time of year.  Next week's Song-ography title is...

"Silver Bells"
Meaghan Smith

(okay, I'm just gonna go ahead with a disclaimer that this is NOT my most favorite rendition of "Silver Bells", but seriously folks....you should just TRY to find a video of this song on YouTube!)

As always, thanks for joining in on Song-ography and I look forward to visiting your blogs to see what you've linked up this week.

P.S.  You can now find me on Facebook. Please hop on over to You'll Shoot Your Eye Out and give me a "like".

  2. Wow what a treat. You've got some awesome trees in your place. I can't image decorating more then 1 tree so I'm impressed and awed by how pretty your trees are.

  8. Holy merry batman! I used to decorate several trees - but they were of the manageable size - more along the itsy-bitsy, small, medium and a couple biggies. Love your themes - very fun and festive. Wouldn't you know that just after we replaced all the old multi-colored lights with LED ones, kiddo#2 suggested we should go all white on the family tree next year - I'm thinking it might be tacky to stand on a corner ringing a bell with a bucket to collect for new lights in July - but desperate times call for desperate measures.

    1. I am a "white lights" kinda gal BUT....my "Baseball" tree is kinda cool. It has white lights AND colored lights. I use the remote control and can switch from all white, to all color, to a mixture of both. I'm kinda in love :)

  11. Crazy! Three trees! I've often thought of a Boston sports tree...little Sox, Pats, Celts, Bruins...Red, Blue, Green Gold...It's a tree that lives in my head! Maybe someday I'll have a place that could handle two trees! What an investment you've made in Christmas cheer - such a blessing to your family and all who visit. I'm smiling just thinking about seeing it all, so I can just imagine the JOY you bring to everyone around there!!

    1. There's ALWAYS room for another tree :). A Boston one would be cool...if ya live in Boston! And yes, it's an investment BUT...it's been years in the making and a slow accumulation.

  12. Your home must be AHmazing at holiday season. I do remember that you love to decorate, bless you. I'm sure it's magical. My fave photo here is the one with the Uggs, but seeing all the unique ornaments, I can feel the love for the holiday coming thru. I hope your "things" know how lucky they are. Glad to be back in the line up. Hope all is well.

  18. It certainly looks like Christmas in your beautiful home! I love that you have a baseball tree. That's a conversation starter, I'm sure. And Uggs are very "in" out here in California. Where we have no snow. They are simply for chic fashionality. Thanks for hosting this heartwarming Song-ography week!
