...I'd be a sunflower.
To always follow the sun.
To turn my back to darkness.
To stand proud, tall and straight...
...even with my head full of seeds."
Yep, I'd most certainly be a sunflower. But a sunflower in Italy would be even better.
"Italian Sunflowers"
Cortona, Italy
P.S. I've been trying to "de-clutter" things, both here on my blog and life in general (except my shoe closet. I kinda enjoy THAT clutter). I am no longer listing my link-ups at the bottom of each post. Instead, I have a tab at the top of the blog labelled "Party On". If you click on it you can see where I am linking up each day of the week.
Glorious shots of the sunflower - especially like the idea of photographing them in Italy. Also really like the idea of a central listing of 'hook-ups'.
ReplyDeleteNever thought of being a flower, but this one is a wise choice. Your sunny disposition is a match for this one too. Great series. Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Kath! Stunning.

ReplyDeleteLovely pictures and I do miss seeing the fields of sunflowers I used to see in my home state of SD.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful post! Sunflowers are some of my favorite flowers too. I also like the way you decluttered your blog...the idea of a tab showing your weekly link ups is genius.
ReplyDeleteYour Sunflowers look gorgeous. They are most certainly one of my favorite flowers. They have such a happy vibe to them..

Oh, Kathy I've missed coming to visit your blog. What can I say girl...life happens, and keeps happening. lol These pics are gorgeous! ...And, yes being a sunflower in Italy would be divine because perhaps someone would water you with a little wine as they are emptying glasses/bottle from a party. LOL! Just thinking out loud. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I would like to be in that field of flowers right now, lost in thought. No strike that, no thoughts, I need a mental break!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots of the sunflower. Really pretty.

Fun! I have a special fondness for Sunflowers as well. I wonder if Italian sunflowers enjoy wine too.
