Scavenger Hunt Sunday (3/10/2013)...

Welcome to the "what a difference a day makes" edition of Scavenger Hunt Sunday.  Wow.  Snowed Friday.  Almost 60 degrees and sunny on Saturday.  Gotta love when Mother Nature gets a hot flash.  So I grabbed my sister and HER camera, and we headed up to Lambertville, NJ.  To get out of the house, to soak in some rays, and to find some of the Scavenger Hunt prompts that we had previously decided we were gonna skip this week.  Mother Nature made a procrastinator outta me.

This week's prompts are:  #5,  Word of the Day, Sharing, Wiggle, and Cookies.

1. #5

"Five"
Lambertville, NJ

Man!!!  The number of antique stamps I had to go thru to find the only FIVE.  Apparently FIVE is the loneliest number.

2.  Word of the Day

" -ish "
Lambertville, NJ

The word of the day at THIS store is apparently.... -ish.

3.  Sharing

"Sharing"
Lambertville, NJ

Sharing time, sharing space.

4.  Wiggle

"Swimming in Sunshine"
Lambertville, NJ

Wiggle in water.  Waddle on land.  Woefully I can relate.

5.  Cookies

"Canine Cookies"
New Hope, PA

And after Lambertville, we walked allllllll the way to Pennsylvania for the prompt that my dogs loved the best.  Sounds more extreme than it was.  All we had to do was walk across a bridge.  Just don't tell my dogs.  They think I'd go to the ends of the Earth for them.  At least I went to Jersey.

Thank you Mother Nature for giving me the push I needed.  Between the mild temps, and Daylight Savings Time, I'm a happy camper.  Hope you all are getting to soak up some rays too.  It might only be a temporary reprieve but...I'll take it!!!

  2. Yeah - if I ever have a store, I'm having "ish" times too. The sunshine and long walk did me a world of good today - I swear, by Thursday this week I thought hibernation might become a permanent condition! I'm glad you found the #5 - Love stamps, and I love that shot!

  11. Cute store sign - I live on 'ish' time, it is my way of keeping the beach mentality (or at least that is what I tell myself). Loving the walk shot - like seriously loving it. We are supposed to have 70 degree weather today. Yeah, Mother Nature's midlife issues are our bonus days. My family doesn't think the same way when I have mine. Enjoy your bonus weather days this weekend.

  13. Mornin' Kathy, how nice that you and Karen got out together, cameras in hand and I'm sure lots of banter and big smiles on your faces. Can you imagine the chaos if we all lived and worked on ish time???? Love your shots. Hope you are having a wonderful sunny day today.

  16. Ish is a word which appears in my vocabualry a lot. It's a hard habit to break. I'm sure your dog admired the pretty ribbon before devouring the treats. Great set of photos.

  17. No daylight saving in the UK for another 2 weeks and outside my window it is currently sleeting... we did see a glimmer of spring this week but it seems to have vanished again!

Love the duck image, the sparkle of sunlight on the water and his ruffled feathers are fab!

  18. Super set. It's always a pleasure to view your work.
Loved the Sharing shot and Wiggle (that little sparkle on the water was so lovely).
Is it wrong to think those doggie cookies look yummy? Not that I would eat them but they do look mighty tasty.

  21. Your posts are so much fun! and you seem to do so much!! heck! I'm lucky if I get a post & get the laundry done. Where oh where does my weekend go? Well... actually, I know --- we went to two movies (one was a fundraiser for the SLO Film Festival) & today we saw "The Tempest" at PCPA (near our house). So, guess we've been theater hopping...My fave pic - the "sparkly" leaves in your SHARING picture.
