One extra hour...

So what did I do with my one extra hour of daylight yesterday?  I ventured somewhere I hadn't been for quite awhile...

...my own backyard.    It's been kinda squishy and swampy out there during the winter months.  So I've been content to just admire it from afar.  That would be from my sunroom window.  The colors still haven't emerged from hibernation, but...

...I have to admit it looked downright dreamy up close and personal-like.

Granted, maybe not quite "Hugh Grant" dreamy yet.  But at least "Colin Firth" dreamy.  And that's a good thing.  Cause a girl's gotta dream.  Especially when she has an extra hour of daylight to do it in.

    1. Nancy, it is a small steam. I would have had to pay too much to get my own bog :)

  22. I'm glad I'm not on some quiz/money shot having to choose between these 3 pictures, as I'd be deliberating forever. They are all so lovely - and there's too many features to commet on for each but I really do love your last photo - as you say, completely dreamy, and for all the right reasons. Thanks, Renee.

  24. My fave is the black and white. Legit-I did an outloud mini-gasp. My backyard is at least knee deep in snow. I'll revisit in May. Happy day Kathy.

  25. gonna have ta flip Hugh with Colin - but I'm hearing ya. I look outside and see 'needs weeding', 'needs cut back desperately', 'needs work - lots and lots of work' so I'm keeping the blinds half closed.

  26. My backyard is squishy as well. More like a swamp with the recent snow melt and rain! I'll need duck shoes when I venture out there! Great shots. Love the first one with the detail against the blurred background.

  28. Beautiful interpretation of your hibernating yard. Mine is so muddy it makes me cringe every time I run out to dump the compost!
