And on to this week's hunt. The prompts this week are: Mono-chromatic, Hair, Starts with the Letter..., Upside Down, and Soft.
1. Mono-chromatic
"Fruit of the Sea"
"You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute' it.
There's shrimp kabobs shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo.
Pan fried, deep fried, stir fried.
There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp.
Shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatos, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich.
That's about it."
"A is for Ahhhhhh"
"Sugar and Spice"
"You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute' it.
There's shrimp kabobs shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo.
Pan fried, deep fried, stir fried.
There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp.
Shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatos, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich.
That's about it."
2. Hair
"Rapunzel"
Okay, okay...the braces in the photo are a dead give away this was not taken within the last week. But it isn't TOO old, I swear. Anyway, it isn't my fault I'm using this...I swear AGAIN. Thing #3 has the most GORGEOUS hair, and she promised me that she would let me use her for this prompt. However, tenth grade must be a real "energy suck" cause she just couldn't seem to drag her lazy bones out of that bed of hers. What's a mom to do? Use what I got, and braces filled the need. Sorry kidd-o. But your hair looks mah-velous and you're cute with or without those braces, I SWEAR. As usual, I'm sure you won't agree with me.
3. Starts with the letter...
"A is for Ahhhhhh"
Did I miss something with this prompt? I mean...was this a freebie and you could just put whatever you want here. Not that that's exactly what I did or anything.
4. Upside Down
"Soaring"
(linked to: Your Sunday Best, Simple as That)
Well, the bird isn't upside down...but if you could have seen MOI taking the picture...just take my word for it.
5. Soft
Where can I get one of these? I want one. Nothing as soft and squishy as a baby. I have no idea who this little girl is. But when I saw that face I actually left my comfort zone and asked mom if I could take a photo. Doesn't she look like the Gerber Baby? There is some competition going on now where you can vote for who looks the most like the Gerber Baby. How do I know that? Well, my Facebook newsfeed tells me every time I log on. Appears EVERYONE knows a Gerber baby and wants you to vote for him/her. Sure wish I knew who this little girl is...I would nominate her myself.
Voila'. Another Scavenger Hunt in the books. It just never fails that each week I am always a bit amazed I actually got it all accomplished. If you want to see who ELSE got it accomplished, hop on over to Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday at Ramblings and Photos. Take a cup of coffee with ya tho...you'll be staying awhile once you see all the gorgeous photos.
Happy Sunday. Go E-A-G-L-E-S....EAGLES! Sure wish I looked better in green, sigh.

Well...I'm sure that beautiful daughter of yours won't mind a photo of her with braces rather than a photo that you would take of her lazy bones in bed after an exhausting first week of 10th grade! Love your Upside down photo....especially knowing how you feel about birds.
ReplyDeleteI was actually on my way up the stairs with my camera to taking a "sleeping hair" photo...when my compassion set in. HATE when that happens :)
DeleteAaaaaahhh...that pic was great!
ReplyDeleteLove #3....made me chuckle. And #4 is just fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAmazing shots this week. I used a baby photo for soft also.. Great minds think alike..
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Oh, now I'm thirsty, pass me a #3 please.....of course you know I love your upside down, and are you kidding me? That baby does look just like a Gerber Baby, minus a wee bit of hair! ; ) Great set Kathy!
ReplyDeleteLove the Ahhhh shot & that hait is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow...your last 2 shots, i was going to pick your bird shot as my favourite as the feel of your photo seems to effortlessly soar. But then I reached your last one - she's cute yes, but your capture makes it - the colour, the catchlight, the movement and the moment - i hope you're feeling very proud.
ReplyDeleteLove your set! And Rapunzel is lovely with or without braces!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is gorgeous! So are all your shots! Loved last week as well. I'm not an alumni but I live near the happy valley. It's been a rough year for so many people. Glad to see proud alumni.
ReplyDeleteHappy b-day to your pops!! Love that pic of Thing 3! Happy sunday!
ReplyDeleteWhat I wouldn't give to have hair like your daughter's. Her hair could have fit the Soft prompt too.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter has stunning hair! I love the curls ;D And those shrimp - YUM!!! Love your freebie - lime wedge shot. Oh, and yes - that is an adorable Gerber baby if I do say so myself. You did magnificantly this week. Another one down :D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, all of them! Yep, your daughter has gorgeous hair...she's very lucky! And that baby? Precious! :)
ReplyDeleteYour daughter rocks those braces and that hair - wow! Great group of shots.
ReplyDeleteHad to google mono-chromatic, your photo could be next to it. Thing #3 does have beautiful hair! Of course I love Ahhh, and that baby looks so soft and huggable
ReplyDeleteThing #3 is beautiful and has great hair! You captured an unbelievably cute picture of that baby girl! I too want one. She's sure to make you smile! Happy Birthday to your Pops. He's a wonderful man!
ReplyDeleteShhhhh....don't tell Thing #3 she is on my blog. That will teach her to never pay attention to the things I do :)
DeleteLove, love #1!!! I just re-watched the movie Forest Gump last weekend, and your description so remind of the scene when Forest's friend CJ was describing how many ways there were to make shrimp. Ha-ha...too funny. Braces?...what braces? Your daughter is beautiful & ♥the curls. ...and that baby is a dead ringer for Gerber. I'd nominate her. Great pics, have a blessed Sunday♥
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos to the different themes. I like them all. They are so beautiful and clear !
ReplyDeleteYou snooze you lose thing 3! But u are gorgeous and if u don't listen to your mama... Then there's he rest of us!!! Great shots Kathy. But u should know that by now!

ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I absolutely love your take of upside down and your daughter's hair is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one Kathy, I am going to say that on my dad's next birthday. We are only 20 years apart so it stings a bit. LOL! Ewww to #1 - I scrolled really fast. Might have been shrimp, which I love - i just don't like seeing them "live-ish". #3 sure looks tasty! That stranger baby is adorable.
ReplyDeleteLove the shrimp! Monochromic stumped me, but not you! I did better with Begins with the letter..., though (sticking out tongue)!
ReplyDeleteSwimps!!!! I just had grilled shrimp fajitas for lunch...love it!
ReplyDeleteLove your series - especially the shrimp.....I mean baby.....um......I'll leave it at that!
ReplyDeleteLove all of these...I was hungry after your monochromatic feast and thirsty after the letter A. Must go raid the kitchen now!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love stats with the letter
ReplyDeleteWonderful choices, Kathy!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the completion! Great set of matching photos, seems like a fun game!
ReplyDeleteFabulous set Kathy.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness your Monochromatic is awesome. I love Shrimp (especially Coconut shrimp).
Hair - I'm so jealous...my hair has always been fine and thin. Ugh...she has hair to die for.
Soft - Way to cute!
I love your monochromatic even though I actually don't care for shrimp!
ReplyDeleteYour upside down picture is awesome, and my thinking was along the same lines as you! I was practically upside down to get my picture too.
I also agree that Starts with the Letter... was a giveaway prompt. May as well have been "photographers choice"!
I hope the birds won today. It was looking touch and go on the ticker. No Eagles here-only Pats. My nickname at one time (many moons ago, but not in my childhood years) was "Gerbs". Go figure.
ReplyDeleteLove your images. Great crop on the monochromatic, tho if you've ever peeled a big ol' sink of those, you won't be as eager to eat them. LOVE that someone else makes that FG Bubba shrimp reference. I don't know the whole thing tho like you do. Fun-nee.
Maybe if your daughter hears that other people think she's beautiful she'll listen to them whereas they're not Mom. Tell her I think so. Happy day Kathy.
What a wonderful set! Your daughter is just beautiful!! And how cute is that baby. Congrats for taking the courage and asking a stranger.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous set. Love the view 'from down under' of the gull. Great detail of colors I rarely see.
