Scavenger Hunt Sunday (9/30/12 edition)...

Holy Guacamole!!!!  I just wasn't feelin' the love this week for the Scavenger Hunt Sunday prompts.  THEY WERE REAAAAAAAALLY HARD (for moi).  Oh well, I guess that is why they call it a "challenge" right?

This week's prompts are:  Yellow, Getting Ready, Bright, Teeny Tiny, and Connections

1.  Yellow

"Field of Gold"

2.  Getting Ready

"Party Prep"

3.  Bright

"Blinded by the Light"

Who's behind those Foster Grants?

4.  Teeny Tiny

"Dream Weaver"

(Self Portrait #31/52...
YIKES, how am I EVER gonna get 52 of these suckers??
Approaching desperation status when I preserve for eternity my morning "bed head". Here is my
hint for the day:  no make-up? Embrace your best friend...MONO-TONE)

Can I just sleep a TEENY TINY bit longer????????  Puh-LEEEZE????

5.  Connections

"Universal Connection"
(linked to:  Your Sunday BestSimple Things Sunday)

"Music is the universal language of mankind."
--Henry Wadsworth  Longfellow

Hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing Sunday.  Moi?  I'm going to meet the little sis for lunch.  AND, I'm going to bee-line it straight to Nordstrom's shoe department afterwards, which just happens to be located in VERY close proximity to the restaurant.  Concidence?  Well, at least that is what  I'm gonna tell the Better Half instead of trying to hide a huge boot box.  It's times like these when I wish I had a petite pair of size 6's.  The cute little shoes, the cute little boxes...that can be hidden just about ANYWHERE.  It takes a LOT more imagination to hide a pair of size 10's, just sayin'.

If you get the chance, please hop on over to Ashley's Ramblings and Photos to check out all the other Scavenger Hunt submissions.

  5. Hello Kathy, Just wanted to put a quick check in before I head out on a holiday break over the next week. Wanted to say both thank you in the past months for your supportive comments and also, that , even though you stated that this week's hunt was challenging, you continue to make it seem effortless. Especially love your second and last photo. Have a good week. Renee

  13. VERY COOL SET! You nailed each and every one! Enjoy your Sunday, it sounds perfect. We are watching the Ryder Cup here.
PS - I was doing my best to hide my giant boot box from DSW the other day and my loud mouthed 7 year old had to announce it loudly to dad. OY! It's a lost cause in my house ;D

    1. Some call it a "stretch"...some (and by SOME I mean "moi") shade the truth by calling it "creativity", haha.

  23. A challenge maybe but these are awesome! I love the shiny balloons, and have to say a 52 week self portrait challenge is something I don't think I could do! I admire your creativity and courage for it!

  27. Ummm hello-no mention of the E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles in the to-do list for the day? Tsk. I mean Dawkins, c'mon. Oh, maybe that's what the size 10 boots are for. For someone not feeling the challenge-you created an awesome set. You need to not admit you struggled. Anyone else would think you found this easy-peasy. Choosing a fave-like those sunnies, but like that POV on the violin-and I'm a sucker for the kind of light in your yellow shot-and you aleady know I like the selfie. I'm good with the whole thing. Hope you and your sis had a great day, and that you found THE boots.

  28. Oh you're my girl for real! I wear a size 10 too! Don't you hate shopping places where you have to ask for the shoe and then they come back with a 9 like you can actually do something with it? PUH-LEEZE! That's why I do most of my shoe shopping via Zappos. But then there's that whole hoping I'm the only one home when UPS arrives. I've sweated that one out A LOT! Love they pics. I take each prompt so literally that I couldn't even think of anything for the others after yellow. One day, I am going to do it though.
