Okay...I HAD the best ever introduction in ALL my months of Scavenger Hunt Sunday posts written and posted. You would have LOVED it. It was AMAAAAAAAAZING. Probably would have won an award of some sort for humor and creativity. Honestly. But it disappeared. Poof. It's gone. If only I could lose weight that easily. The Black Hole of the Blogosphere. The Bermuda Triangle of Scavenger Hunts. Oh well...trust me...it was good :).
This week's Scavenger Hunt Sunday prompts are: Meet you on the corner, Mother Nature meets technology, One step at a time, What's wrong with this picture, AND...Standing tall.
1. Meet youon IN the corner
This week's Scavenger Hunt Sunday prompts are: Meet you on the corner, Mother Nature meets technology, One step at a time, What's wrong with this picture, AND...Standing tall.
1. Meet you
I can FEEL you staring at my butt.
2. Mother Nature meets Technology
Technology (sort of) meets nature. Okay, okay, okay...it's a dang pinwheel being blown by the wind.
3. One Step at a Time
4. What's Wrong With This Picture?
Sometimes what is wrong, makes it kinda right in my eyes. What's wrong? Lots and lots and LOTS of noise. BUT, I really like the graininess. And it is straight out of the camera...no crop, nada.
5. Standing Tall
Have door, will travel. We have moved four time with Things #1, #2 and #3. And I have taken my closet door with me each time. You just can't leave these "standing tall" milestones behind for someone else to paint over. The door now sits propped up against the wall in my office.
I have to admit, not my best work this week. But I also have to admit I'm just glad I got the challenges done. I'm going to take some satisfaction out of that. Boo-yah Baby.
And a Happy Father's Day to all the dads today. I want to thank everyone for your kind comments regarding my Father's Day post about MY male parental unit. It honestly warms my heart to know that I might have touched even one person when it comes to my thoughts, words and photos. So to hear so many positive responses, well....I'm ALMOST speechless :). Quite honestly, it does a soul good to convey via written word what is felt in one's heart. So thank you.
My dad's daughter...

ReplyDeleteAgreed, tough prompts! I just love your door of measurements!
ReplyDeleteLove your One Step at a Time photo. It's always good when you can work a piece of your shoe collection into a photo :)
ReplyDeletePssshhh! Like YOU ever have trouble!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your first 2 prompts! The colors in the pinwheels...striking!
Love your Corner and What's Wrong shots . . . you did good with a tough set of prompts. That closet door is priceless, I would be lugging it with me each move, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong with it?
ReplyDeleteNothing is wrong as in my eyes.
Too normal is abnormal.
Standing tall is amazing, Kathy. Wow. So cool! xo
ReplyDeleteWOW! You did great.. They were pretty tough this week.. Love the butt shot.. And I really did try not to stare..

ReplyDeleteYour standing tall is soooo sweet!! Love the pinwheel pics too!
ReplyDeleteI read the prompts and knew I didn't have it going on this week to participate. My brain is fried.
ReplyDeleteYou did great -- those shoes -- are you insane? Lol.
Thank you for sharing at Your Sunday Best this week, Kathy! xoxo
Such a fun set! I actually gasped a bit when I saw standing tall - LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you lost your original introduction into the Black Hole of the Blogosphere...but your replacement is pretty darn good! I love your photos...the standing tall one is precious, as is the dog one! Too cute. And what a wonderful photo of you and your Dad. Our growth chart for our daughter is down in my husband's shop...if we ever move, I'll have to figure out a way to take the door frame. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great series - love the noisy shot too. Fav!
ReplyDeleteA great hunt!! Love that you have been hauling around your closet door!!
ReplyDeleteI KNOW that intro that feel into the black hole was awesome-your writing always is. Glad you got lots of response on your Dad post. It was excellent. that first shot cracks me up-and that pinwheel, yah, I've taken those before. I've been cleaning out old files (not a job that's fun) and deleted some pinwheels that looked sort of like yours (only not as good) yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying a great day.
Love it that you have moved with your door so many times. Great shots Kathy, and am glad you did explain that moving pinwheel. saw your explanation just as i was trying to figure it out. Great work!
ReplyDeletefabulous photography! love not only your lily, but also "one step at a time", and "technology"
ReplyDeleteOne step and standing tall are my favorites.........so great!!! Love them.
ReplyDeleteThis was definitely a tough prompt week, but I think you did great! Your pinwheel shots are GORGEOUS.
ReplyDeleteExcellant Set
ReplyDeleteYou have wonderfully creative shots.
The Dog in Meet Me at the Corner was unexpected, fun and very clever.
Mother Nature Meets Technology - So colorful
One Step at a Time - Cool shoes but I gave up glamor in favor of comfort many years ago.
What's Wrong with this Picture - I like this too. It acentuates the one petal on the lily perfectly.
Standing tall - Wow that is such a wonderful keepsake of your children.
Oh my gosh, I just went and read your Father's Day post. How beautiful and meaningful. My dad has been gone 14 years and there are days I'd give anything to have him back for just one hour even to visit with and talk about life and such. I bet those same feelings fall into your life even though your dad is still alive in the sense that he hasn't passed from this earth and yet the loss is there. It was wonderful to read of your deep love for your dad. Thank you for sharing such intimate feelings.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind comments and thoughts. It truly brightens my heart.
DeleteYou always do such a great job! I love the creativity of standing tall. Sorry you lost the funny post. I've done that before. It's such a bummer!
ReplyDeleteLove standing tall, and that you have taken the door with you, that is priceless! Tough prompts but good job! Boo-yah baby!
ReplyDeleteWonderful themes love the standing tall, thank you for your visit. Cheers
ReplyDeleteThat door is AMAZING!! We've been in our house four years and I've only been doing that since we've been here... measuring the littles. And the NOT so littles! My 15 year old is over 6 foot now!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great set--whether you think so or not--and even without the amazing introduction! I LOVE that shoe!
ReplyDeleteWow, I think they are all wonderful. i especially love the shoe, very creative.
ReplyDeleteAWWW! Meet me at the corner... love that furry bum! AND HELLO gorgeous shoes. That zipper is FABulous! Another beautiful week!
ReplyDeleteLove the heel, I wish I could wear heels. Did once wasn't a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI Absolutely love the grain with your lily. It adds a nice texture and I looks great.
I really should start doing the measuring the kids it never crosses my mind, and because of this post I think I will start.
I agree! That lily shot is gorgeous, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteThis entire set is genius - love it. And I know what you mean about losing great words...it happens to me all too often. I wish I had better control over my fingers, but it happens and then I'm left with no other choice than a rewrite that is not nearly as good.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots...love Standing Tall!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful photos. Love them - and I think your door for 'standing tall' is absolutely wonderful.
