Squirrels just wanna have fun...

This was the scene on my deck this morning.  Which got me to wondering...is this the squirrel world equivalent of waking up to a dorm room full of empty beer cans and a headache?  Not that I would know anything about that (that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!).  But I now realize that perhaps the morning quiet and stillness might be due in part to all the squirrels sleeping off their hangovers. It's nice to learn you are never too old to laugh at someone else's "morning after".

  7. Nice shot! ...and I'm sure the gut rot the squirrel may be feeling wouldn't be nearly as bad as the gut rot one receives after drinking too much alcohol (I only know this based on the stories I've heard from other people...not my own experience).

  8. What a cool shot! I love the thud and crunch of acorns, another sense of fall! I don't like it when they whollop me on the head!
