When a cow laughs...

...does milk come out her nose?

I've been known to shoot Diet Peach Snapple out mine when caught off guard by a good laugh.  It usually is when I'm sitting at my computer and I read something that completely catches me off guard on the monitor.  I'm surprised I haven't short circuited out my keyboard by now OR...my nose.   It REALLY hurts, just sayin'.

Driving home from Penn State this weekend with my mom sitting shot gun (did she REALLY tell me I drive too slow???!!!????), I noticed a herd of cows standing precariously close to the road.  Pointing this out to mom, and knowing darn well I can take photos till the cows come home she said "Soooooo, you gonna stop and take photos Kathy?"  Even tho my eyes were honed in on those cows and the road, I could just FEEL her eyes roll as she posed the question. You know what?  My mom is turning into quite a little smart a$$ in her older years.  I kinda like that.

Of COURSE I'm going to stop.  And for future reference, quick mental note...mom apparently is developing my warped sense of sarcasm, I'm totally impressed.  I quickly veered off onto the berm of the road, grabbed "James Dean", left mom in the car,  and ran barefoot across the road to my waiting Elsie's.

I don't know, but I'm pretty sure by the way they were eyeing me up they knew that I'm totally NOT a fan of milk.  Honestly, WHO was the first one to even THINK to drink whatever comes out of those udders on a cow?  Probably the same person who saw an egg pop out of a chicken's nether regions and thought "WOW, I'll crack that baby open and eat the snotty looking stuff inside of it".  Hmmmm, must be a guy.  Seriously...you KNOW it was.

BUT, it was kinda cool living in my own personal Chick-fil-A ad for a few moments.  Got Milk  Snapple?

Happy Hump Day...

  1. lol...hmmm, I may never eat an egg again. :P

Love your cow shots! Your Mom sounds like mine - the older she gets, the feistier she gets and the less of a filter she has when expressing her thoughts. It's very amusing - most of the time!

  3. Love the things you ponder. :-) I HATED milk growing up. (Unless flavored with vanilla and sugar, yum. Or frozen into ice cream. Love that first shot with the blade of grass. Very mooving. :-)

  11. Well, not sure how they let you get so close? Ha ha, great minds think alike, I was going to post my 'cow' pictures today too, but ran out of time before I was almost late to my son's 8th grade award ceremony at school today. I only got a few shots from the car through the passenger side before they moo-ved on to greener pastures or at least ones where some lady wasn't staring at them. Loved this post...love peach snapple too!
