...with "James Dean". When I realized I was tardy to the party for last week's Project 52. I just can't party like I use to, and I was pre-occupied with a different sort of party last week. Better late than never I guess, but here is my submission for last week's Project 52 prompt which was "Green"...
"Solitude"
And now that I'm caught up, this week's prompt is "Siesta or Fiesta". I took a slightly askew interpretation on this, I know this shocks you ALL...
I know, I know...this could be "Green" too. But instead, I saw all this new growth as an awakening from a long winter's sleep. Whenever I see new growth like this, I envision the tree yawning and stretching after a good nap. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend planned!

Always love your interpretations. Such creative processing on that first shot too, it reminds me of moss. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that first one Kathy! I want to be sitting under one of those trees right now with my journal and a picnic basket and even though I can't drink it, a glass of wine - okay we could cheat and use grape juice - go all the way and make it sparkling! lol
ReplyDeleteI don't believe in "cheating" :)
DeleteHeavenly heavenly green!!
DeleteI love your interpretations for both prompts and you could hardly go wrong for me as green is my favourite colour.
ReplyDeleteI love the first shot. Absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOoh I like that interpretation-stretching and yawning. When I see the firs spurting growth I think of my mom....it's something she remarks on every year. I love the process on the top shot, but bet it's lovely SOOC.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day...tardy to the party. Hee, hee.
What lovely green (and yawning) photos...lol, you always make me smile with your wonderful sense of humor. Have a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the new green beginnings! As a kid I used to pull them off and play with them, I was a new plant killer... Love the edits on your first pic too!
ReplyDeleteLove your processing on this first one! This always adds so much "mystery" to the photo. Also kathy, great depth of field on the second one! Lovely! Have an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteOooh I wanna want down solitude's path with Me, Myself and I TOO!
ReplyDeleteAh, such quality as usual. Love the feeling from your first shot.
ReplyDeleteI like your story! Trees yawning and stretching after a long winters sleep. Perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally get it....the whole tree yawing and stretching! Love it.
ReplyDeletewoh! where that road is, i want to go! what a gorgeous, lush tree-lined way! it must be magical to walk {or even drive} down that road.
ReplyDeletei like your tree yawning picture you paint. now i'll never look at a blooming spring tree the same again. i'll see them yawning from this point on. and that's a good thing!
It is good to go out alone and take your love with you ;)
