Granted, I did it in record breaking time AND it was one gorgeous tree. BUT...if I can take 134 photos of a single magnolia tree, it makes me a bit nervous about what kind of damage "James Dean" and I are going to inflict upon memory cards and batteries when we hit Europe this summer. Actually...makes me wonder if my family is going to kick me overboard! I hope "James Dean" can float.
How can I feel blue about anything when I have all this beautiful pink to edit today. Remember how I said the other day that SOME photos are meant to be in color....well...I present to you exhibit "A".

I'm impressed you limited yourself to only 134!! ;) Wow, that's one gorgeous tree. You got some stunning photos...the third one down made me gasp!

What gorgeous photos, Kathy! I can easily see how you racked up some many photos of a single subject. Great shooting.
ReplyDeleteBrings me "home" ~ there's a beautiful Japanese Magnolia on the side of the house I grew up in...right outside my brother's window. These blooms and trees will forever make me think of home! These photos are stunning!

ReplyDeleteP.S. So jealous you are going to Europe!!! If you like, Wendy & I could join, just in case they do push you overboard, you will have trusted, fellow photographers to hand James Dean to! We will keep him safe! LOL
Shay, honestly....just like a kid in a candy store! haha.
DeleteI would too!!!!! STUNNING!!!!!! I think I would love to have that second & third printed into posters for a guest room. I SOOOOOOOOOOO wish we could have trees like that here but they would never survive the heat & I'm sure they don't grow in sand. :) I will have to just admire your photos instead!
ReplyDeleteWOW-zeeeer! Kathy. How beautiful is that tree. I cannot say that I blame you. Your shots are absolutely stunning. I love pink!! I've got to go back and go through them again. WOW!
ReplyDeleteExcellent shots, reminds me of Japan.

Filip
Hopefully I will get to Japan one of these days :)

ReplyDeleteWOW Kathy! LOVE that tree! GOTTA see if I can grow one of those bad boys over here in my neck of the woods . . . if for nothing other than the photo ops. lol Really like how you've captured all the details. And as for the number of photos . . . don't worry, just buy more memory cards. ;) After the wedding I shot this past weekend, I think I need to invest in a few more myself.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with your photos! I would look at all 134 photos, to be honest. Wow.
ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous Kathy. There is no way I could pick a favorite. You are over the top good!

Although I didn't take 134. :) Just a few dozen. I'll have to go check it out again when the blossoms start to fall off. I love the look of your first photo ... with the petals on the ground. Gorgeous! Oh wait, I said that already. :)
