It takes a strong woman to admit...

...when she has enough shoes.  Which I totally don't.

"Men I may not know,
but shoes, shoes I know."  -- Carrie Bradshaw

"I did not have tthree-thousand pairs of shoes,
I had one-thousand and sixty."  -- Imelda Marcos

"A woman can carry a bag,
but it is the shoe that carries the woman."  -- Christian Louboutin

"Terrorism, hurricanes, and acts of God
can't part a true Imelda from her shoes."  -- Jane Blahnik

  3. Very interesting photos and fabulous quotes. I still remember the whole Imelda Marcos fiasco - what a mess, but by God she stepped out in style.

  5. Great set of shots - And amazing quotes to carry us along into the corners of your mind! I knew some young ladies - students at MIT whose father had been a right hand kinda guy to Marcos - oh the stories they could tell!

  9. Anything Louboutin says makes good sense. I already know because anyone who can make those gorgeous, instantly recognizable shoes has got to be a genius. ;)

I'm visiting today from Thumping Thursdays.

  12. I guess I'm not a real woman. I've never had an interest in shoes except as something to cover and/or protect my feet when absolutely necessary. Interesting photos, though. I especially like that second one.

  15. Hi Kathy, I'm new to your blog. I found you through the Rurality Blog Hop and have left a couple of comments in regards to it. Just wanted to say that I really love your "eye" and enjoy your photos. These are all great images but that top photo should be framed and hanging on a wall. LOVE it.

I took a peek at your My "Stuff" and we have similar "stuff." I have the Canon T4i which is the newest rev of your camera and I love it. I also have the same 50mm lens. My other lenses are the kit lens that came with the camera (no great shakes but we got a good bundle deal) which is 18 x 55mm and another lens (Canon as well) that is 55-250mm. However, your Tamron would make a lot more sense for me since it covers both those lenses. Are you happy with it? Also, now I am crazily craving one of those Epiphanie bags! Thanks for helping me exercise my camera budget! :)

Keep those great photos coming. I really need to get down to Lambertville, it looks like my kind of town with lots of photo ops.

  17. I must just not be a real woman. I don't have the shoe thing going on. Sneakers-I can go there though. Does that count? I love this series, in particular the last 2 images are my faves. Shoe on my friend.

  20. I love shoes, especially funky, retro styles. But Imelda I am not. It's just too expensive of a habit. Sadness....
