1. Purple
"Rivalry"
Willow Grove, PA
How lucky for me that my high school alma mater's colors are purple and gold. How unlucky for me that I was forced to wear that hideous color combo for many years. Even worse? It was the 70's which means I was wearing purple and gold WITH bright blue eye shadow!!!!!
2. Music
"And Now for a Musical Interlude"
(self portrait project 43/52....yeah, I can finally see the finish line)
I-love my I-tunes on my I-phone. I listen to music the majority of my waking hours. And I fall to sleep to it too. I love how a particular melody, or lyric can instantly transport me to another place and time. Music allows you to time travel...and not even leave your favorite chair. Because who wants to leave a leopard spotted chair?
3. Bracelet
"Got Change for That?"
Seriously cool bracelet, made out of real coins, I found at the Christmas Market in Philly today. Hmmm...might now have an idea for all my spare change.
4. Numbers
"Number Crunching"
Rouge
Philadelphia, PA
Since I didn't buy that bracelet, I had lots of spare change to head to Rouge for a glass of wine. WHY do I always want the wine with the biggest number???????
5. Missing
"Glass of Barolo"
Rouge
Philadelphia, PA
What's missing? MOI, partaking. I should be drinking this baby instead of photographing it!!!!
Holy Hallelujah, Batman! I'm done!!! Can I just digress and tell ya my favorite "holy" Robin saying? Drumroll puhleeeeeze.......
"Holy priceless collection of Etruscan snoods, Batman"
Seriously, he said that. And there is NO WAY I'd ever work that into a blog post...but I did want to share that priceless piece of witty repartee' with you. Totally random. Totally ready to throw it into a conversation with Thing #3 today. Totally ready for the eye-roll.
Happy Sunday...

Looove the bracelet shot. Love the bracelet even though I know I would last 1 minute before the jingling would send me over the edge. :)
ReplyDeleteNice photos! I love the interpretation of Purple and the special bracelet. Ahhh, and music, what can I say . . . relaxation!
ReplyDeletegreat collection truly, but so sorry, the Batman quote steals the show :) hahahaha Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat photo of the coin bracelet is just wonderful - I feel just a little bit confident by now to say it kind of represents you , or at least your photography....so clear, so vibrant and always an emotional message to gain. Thanks, Renee.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots all!!
ReplyDeleteGreat self portrait for music and that bracelet is a beauty. Wearing purple is not too bad - I was stuck with gold and maroon. Maroon - even the name is ugly.
ReplyDeleteThat bracelet is so funky! Great shots, as always!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is your self portrait for music, but all your shots are awsome.
ReplyDeleteFirst - LOL! (much to the bemusement of my husband) at your new header shot - LOVE it! Great, fantastic set Batgirl. BAM! POW! oh SNAP!
ReplyDeleteLovely set, your humor is fantastic. That bracelet is amazing. Imagine it cost a pretty penny! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteSee, I always love your selfies! So awesome!
ReplyDeleteTotally awesome post!!
ReplyDeleteSo want your leopard print chair.
Holy purple and gold phase of life - my high school alma mater's colors were the same as yours AND in the 70s! I feel you pain.
Have a great week!
What a gorgeous bracelet. I am sure I need one like it. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Great pics, love the bracelet, and the numbers (sign me up for the Hoegaarden even if it is now an Anheuser Busch Inbev product.
ReplyDeleteI loved your fun post.
Great set! I totally want a glass of wine now, but it's only 10:00 AM... sigh. Oh, and might I say that I am loving your "fra-geee-lay" picture at the top! What a great idea for a Christmas card. :-)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your music shot! And also your boots!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, as always...and that self-portrait of you is stunning! Thanks for the gorgeous images and the smiles. :)
ReplyDeleteRandom serves you well, and your readers too. There is NO reason one would want to get out of a leopard print chair...well unless it was to pour another glass of red and quickly return to said leopard print chair. I like that selfie a lot, and your new Italian one in the header. So do wish I was close to Philly and could meet you for a glass of red either before or after a photowalk. That wine first, photos second might offer some pretty cool abstracts. : )
ReplyDeleteDarest I say "go Birds"? or is that just pointless? have a great day my friend.
no eyeroll here! seriously amazed that some people can actually quote scenes from movies, books or famous people. Not me, nad-da! not in my repertoire of skills. That bracelet is amazing --- did you see the old dimes? oh, our school colors were blue & gold. Do you know how tan your legs have to be to look okay in a gold skirt? Nice set.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou have me cracking up once again. That's why I love to pop in here.
ReplyDeleteYour selfie shot looks amazing. And I am also loving that bracelet.
A glass of wine sounds pretty good right now. It's 5 o'clock somewhere.
Hugs~
Love your hunt results. The self portrait is THE BOMB and the wine is sooooooo pretty. Wine started giving me a headache so I don't drink it anymore. :-( I wonder if I increased my number if that would make a difference? I'll try it out on a special occasion. You are very creative. My numbers pic would have been the lotto ticket that I am still holding onto because I had two numbers. (inserts a holy batman phrase here)
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo Kathy. Great job on the hunt. That bracelet is fantastic!!!! You and that batman!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! great job on the selfies. I'll have to try again next year on the selfies, started out with a bang. Then February hit and it was all downhill :)
ReplyDeleteGreat set! Love the selfie! And my high school alma mater's colors are purple and gold also. How funny is that?! :)
ReplyDeleteYour shots make me miss blogging and participating in SHS
ReplyDeleteCool bracelet! It really would be noisy, though...and heavy, I'd imagine!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a wonderful way of capturing everyday scenes... Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #59!
ReplyDeleteWow! Now that is one bracelet that is worth the dough!
ReplyDeleteI really like your self portrait too. I really should take a few of them sometime.
I can't believe it's December! I feel like I haven't blogged in weeks, but at least I have been keeping up with the scavenger hunt!
