"I will remember...

"Promise me you'll always remember, you're braver than you believe,
stronger than you seem,
and smarter than you think.
But the most important this is,
even if we're apart, I'll always be with you."

-Christopher Robin to Winnie-the-Pooh

Donning a Bravelet supporting the "Cure Alzheimers Fund".  Missing you dad.  Though he was robbed of his own memories, HIS memory lives on with me and those who loved him.

Happy Father's Day dad.  Even tho we are apart, I feel your presence today...and every day. You are missed.

  9. Touching words, Kath ... The Alzheimer's decease, robbing ones memories ~ must be indescribable psingul for the person and the close family ... Hoping that the research will find a way to stop the development of the decease, setting it stand by for as long as possible. A wonderful photo of your father ... Smitten by his laughter!

  12. Alzheimers is such a heartbreaking disease. My mother-in-law has it. The other three of our parents are gone, and, in essence, she is gone as well. She sits and colors in coloring books and talking nonsense. My only comfort is that she actually seems happier now that she's long past the stage where she knew something was wrong when she wasn't remember things.
